Looking to find a book that is at your child¡¯s ¡°Just Right¡± reading level?

The Scholastic Book Wizard can help!

1. Go to The Scholastic Book Wizard site:

2. Next, select your child¡¯s reading level using either Guided Reading (this would be a letter) or DRA (this is a

number) and then click SET. Unsure of your child¡¯s level? Your child¡¯s classroom teacher can provide you

with this information or see ** in step 4.

3. Select Leveled Search to indicate your child¡¯s areas of interest and reading level.

The next page will ask you some questions that will help the site generate a list of books that match your child¡¯s

interest and reading level.

4. Another option to find books, besides the Leveled Search is to use the ¡°Book Alike¡± feature.

Select BOOK ALIKE to enter the name of a book that feels ¡°just right¡± for your child and the Book Wizard will

generate a list of books of a similar reading level for your child. **If you are unsure of your child¡¯s reading

level, enter the title of a book that seems to be ¡°just right¡± for your child and the Book Alike feature can tell you

the level of that book (if it is in their database).
