Participants will experience cooperative activities, problem solving, creative expression, and physical activity and pull it all together with indoor and outdoor play. Learn new (and old!) ways of spending free time and having fun. Sample Activities: create obstacle courses, make and play historic board and indoor games, yard games like croquet and toss games, art making.

Day Camp Session 3: July 6 to July 10 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

(no camp week of June 28 due to July 4 holiday)

Participants will enjoy free expression in the arts of design and invention. Experiment with various media

and learn basic problem solving skills as a foundation for planning art works, design and construction.

Sample Activities: design gadgets that meet prescribed or personal needs, explore the patent process,

experiment building constructions with various materials, create inspired artworks.

Concept: Participants will agree that the world is a fascinating place ? from the soil under our feet to the depths of outer space. Discover that living things are all around ? under our feet, in the past, in the environment and all around, and maybe even in the far beyond, where the future is a marvelous opportunity. Sample Activities: soil sampling and data recording, exploring fossils and making replicas, investigating watchable wildlife, visiting the solar system with StarLab planetarium, making star charts and constellation finders, looking for life beyond the universe.

Day Camp Session 6: July 27 to 31 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Drop-in activities July 28, 30, 31, Aug 1, 4, 6 and 7 11:00-4:00

Humans are naturally drawn to other living things, and this theme is packed with animal encounters. Participants will practice basic scientific methods including observation, hypothesizing, experimentation, data collection and analysis. Sample Activities: live animal observations and encounters, setting up science experiments, making art works inspired by animals, handling and cuddling live animals.

The cost for children of non-members is $155.00 per week of camp. The cost for children of Museum Association members is $135.00 per one week of camp. LIMITED SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE BY APPLICATION. Contact staff for details. All materials and activities are included in the cost, which must be received at the Museum by 4 p.m. on the deadline stated above. Camper is NOT enrolled in camp until registration form and full payment are received at the Museum. Sorry, but we cannot "hold" spaces for campers, and space is limited. All sessions are expected to fill.

Due to the activities in these programs, campers must have completed 1st grade and be from 7 to 12 years old. Campers must bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle each day. Shoes must be close-toed and clothing should be appropriate for physical activities and art-making. The Museum and staff are not responsible for personal belongings of campers. Campers must exhibit appropriate behavior at the Museum. The camper's medical insurance is the primary source of payment for any accident, injury, or illness arising during Museum camp.

CANCELLATION/CHANGE/REFUND POLICY: Campers may change sessions based on space availability. Full refund of fees may be made if withdrawal is requested prior to ten (10) days before camp begins. Six (6) to ten (10) days before camp begins, a refund of 75% of the fees may be made. Camp registration payment is nonrefundable five (5) or fewer days prior to camp. The Museum reserves the right to cancel a camp session. In case of cancellation, campers will be notified in advance and full refunds will be made. I have read and understand this Registration Form.
