While shadowing all of the principal's activities is perfectly acceptable, here are a few ideas of how you can involve your Principal for a Day in the life of your school. Do try to follow a normal work schedule so that the PFAD can observe the scope of your responsibilities.

? Have breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria with students and/or faculty. ? Read morning announcements or appear on school's morning TV news. ? Lead the Pledge of Allegiance. ? Read to classes. ? Visit classrooms. ? Meet with the Student Council. ? Examine school's technology labs. ? Attend a special activity such as band, chorus, PE demonstration. ? Help supervise the playground. ? Teach a lesson on his/her career. ? Visit parent resource room and meet with parents. ? Sit in on meetings with parents (with their permission). ? Visit the after-school program. ? Visit the preschool or Head Start program at your school.
