JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Office Manager – High School - 240 Days

REPORTS TO: Principal

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bookkeeping of all school activity accounts.

Purchasing for school/teachers.

Correspondence for principal/school.

Record keeping/reporting for school.

SALARY: Salary placement will be based on Douglas County Board of Education approved salary schedules and years of verified experience

PAY GRADE: Grade 6 –240 Days

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

REQUIREMENTS:

1) Educational Level: High school graduate

Minimum of three years experience in secretarial and general office work; school experience preferred.

2) Certification/License Required: None

3) Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.

4) Proficient Skills: Computer and bookkeeping/record keeping skills

General knowledge of all office equipment

Maintain confidentiality

Ability to perform job under pressure

Ability to communicate in a professional manner with students, parents, staff, and community both orally and in writing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.

2. Maintain all bank accounts for school activity accounts.

3. Maintain all record keeping for school accounts.

4. Enter and maintain all purchasing for school/teachers.

5. Process all leave forms for school.

6. Correspondence for principal/school.

7. Process school records for records center storage.

8. Assist attendance clerk when needed.

9. Capable of following written and oral instructions.

10. Enter all maintenance request for school building.

11. Order all custodial supplies.

12. Supervises office staff.

13. Performing other duties assigned by the principal.
