WELCOME TO 8TH GRADE

Dear Rising Eighth Graders,

Welcome to eighth grade! This year promises to be full of excitement as you assume the role of student leaders in the Lyme School. With the privileges that come with being the oldest and most admired students in the building, you will need to model our school values, inspiring others to follow your example. Additionally, we hope you and your classmates will grow even closer as a class, while continuing the tradition of running the middle school dances and making them welcoming and inclusive social events.

In this very special year of school, your teachers want to make it the best experience possible and help you reach your academic potential, so to get things started off right, they have identiFied the

supplies that you'll need to assemble before reporting to school on the First day.

1. a regular size paper grocery bag (to cover text book)

1. needs a spiral

notebook and a pocket folder.

Health

Humanities

Student's Summer Reading Assignment!

The incoming 8th graders will be required to read Paperboy AND a book of their choice. They should fill the Notice and Note Reading Log (see attached) for each of the two books, and come in ready to discuss in September!
