CHROMEBOOKS/COMPUTERS

ALL students will need to provide their own laptop computer for the 2019-2020 school year. Students will need access to internet at home.

Laptop computers may be purchased on your own or purchased through STM for $225. There are also a limited number of computers available to rent for $100 per year. Please call the business office for more information and/or rental availability.

The minimum spec for a Chromebook is: Dual Core 1.6 GHz Processor 2 GB RAM Minimum 3 hour battery life Minimum 1 USB Port No internal storage is necessary if student uses Google Drive

The minimum specs (for best performance) for a windows-based laptop is: Dual or Quad Core 2.2 GHz Processor 4 GB RAM at least a 128GB HDD. An SSD drive instead of a standard HDD will also increase performance, but is not necessary 1 or 2 USB ports is also recommended, since some slim devices are starting to appear on the market without them. No optical (DVD) drive is required.
