Required Supplies Colored Pencils or Markers Three 1-inch ring binders (Try to get different colors.) Pocket Folder for Science (do not need binder for Science) 2 Folders with metal tabs and pockets for French One 2-inch ring binders (for World Civ. Keep at home except when asked to bring in) Filler Paper (no composition-book paper with frayed edges. You will need a lot of paper for the year.) Graph Paper (for Science) Tab Dividers (one pack of 5) Pencils (Many #2 regular or mechanical pencils) Pens 1 Cloth Bound Composition Books(journal; 9? x 7?"; usually marble-colored ? Science)

Donations of a binder, paper, etc. would be helpful for any student in need. (Give to AL teacher.)

Take care of your supplies as you will need all of them all year. As you use them, or if you lose any, replace them as needed. Be sure to write your name on your supplies.

Elective Classes All students will have at least two elective classes a semester. Students who do not take a foreign language may have three. Students will use items from the 7th grade supply list (such as pencils, pens, highlighters, and colored pencils) in their elective classes. Art: box of pencils, vinyl eraser, box of colored pencils, hand-held pencil sharpener. Band, Orchestra: Three-ring binder, size one-inch, with smooth, hard surface. Chorus, Performing Arts, and Family and Consumer Science: a folder with brads (prongs)

and two pockets. (Plastic or laminated folders are recommended.) Computer Applications: ear buds Family and Consumer Science: $10 fee (This is for the student's cooking and sewing projects.) Health: One-inch Three-ring binder. Music Appreciation: Three-ring binder, size one-inch, with smooth, hard surface. Technology Education: $15 for consumable items.

Backpacks and Lockers Backpacks must be kept in lockers. The doorway of the lockers is 9? inches wide; the inside of the lockers is 10? inches wide; the lockers are 10? inches deep.

Student Planner and Handbook Please send $5 on the first day of school for the student planner for each child. The Student Handbook is in the front of the student planner. It contains information that

the students will use throughout the year. If a student loses the planner and handbook, another one may be purchased for $5 as

long as supplies last.

First Day of School Have all of your required supplies purchased by the first day of school, but you do not need to bring all of them on the first day. You will need these supplies on the first day of school: notebook Pencils, pencil sharpener, and eraser Pens $5 for student planner (Cash or make check payable to Morton Middle. Give to your AL teacher.) $15 Science fee for labs (Make check payable to Morton Middle. Give to your Science teacher.) Tissues (Give to your 1st period, AL, teacher.) Paper Towels (one roll or pack; Give to your AL teacher.) Pack #2 Pencils, Band Aids, Hand Sanitizer, and/or Baby Wipes (Give to your AL teacher) Dry Erase Markers Any donation items (Give to your AL teacher.)

Bring the rest of the supplies when you get your locker (which will probably be on the 3rd or 4th day of school).
