SUB-REGIONAL FORMATS FOR DISTRICT 2 2019-2020

FALL SPORTS Cross Country Boys & Girls AAA Boys (8 Schools) ? Williamsport (4) with Hazleton Area, Scranton, Delaware Valley, Wallenpaupack, North Pocono, Wilkes-Barre Area and WVW (2) AAA Girls (9 Schools) ? Williamsport (4) with Hazleton Area, Scranton, Delaware Valley, WVW, Abington Heights, Pittston Area, Wilkes-Barre Area and Wallenpaupack (2)

All teams will qualify for the Sub-regional tournament.

Football AAAAAA (5 Schools) ? Williamsport (4) with Hazleton Area, Scranton, WilkesBarre Area and Delaware Valley (2)

Top 4 teams will qualify for the Sub-regional tournament regardless of District affiliation. Two weekend tournament with semifinals and finals ? seeding by power rating system.

AAAAA (7 Schools) ? ES South, Whitehall, PM East, Southern Lehigh, and ES North (11) with WVW and Wallenpaupack (2)

Top 4 teams will qualify for the Sub-regional tournament regardless of District. Two weekend tournament with semifinals and finals ? seeding by power rating system. If both D2 teams qualify they will be matched against each other in the semifinals and that will be the D2 Championship game. If one D2 team qualifies, they will be the D2 Champion. If no D2teams qualify, the D2 teams will play each other on the semifinal weekend for the D2 Championship.

Soccer Boys & Girls

AAAA Boys Soccer (5 Schools) ? Williamsport (4) with Hazleton Area, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre Area and Delaware Valley (2)

All teams will qualify for the Sub-regional Championship. Semifinals and Finals seeded by power rating system.

AAAA Girls Soccer (5 Schools) ?Williamsport (4) with Hazleton Area, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre Area and Delaware Valley (2)

AAAA Girls Volleyball (19 Schools) ? Parkland, Allen, Liberty, Easton, Emmaus, Dieruff, Northampton, Freedom, PM West, Stroudsburg, Pleasant Valley, Nazareth, PM East, Whitehall, ES South (11) with Delaware Valley, Hazleton Area, Wilkes-Barre Area and WVW (2)

Top 8 teams will qualify for the Sub-regional tournament regardless of District as well as any other team that finishes with a .500 record or above. Seeding will be determined by power rating system.

AAA Girls Volleyball (12 Schools) ? Shamokin (4) with Abington Heights, North Pocono, Crestwood, Dallas, Berwick, Nanticoke, Tunkhannock, Wyoming Area, Lake-Lehman, Western Wayne, and Pittston (2)

Top 8 teams will qualify for the Sub-regional tournament regardless of District as well as any other team that finishes with a .500 record or above. Seeding will be determined by power rating system.

AAA Girls Tennis (11 Schools) ? Williamsport (4) with Hazleton Area, Scranton, Delaware Valley, WVW, Abington Heights, Pittston Area, Wallenpaupack, Wilkes-Barre Area, North Pocono, and Crestwood (2)

Top 6 teams will qualify for the Sub-regional tournament based on their League record. The top 2 teams in both the WVC and LIAA plus two wildcards. Williamsport will replace one of the wildcards should they finish with a .500 or above league record. Seeding will be based on League record.
