Temporary Full Time Educational Assistant (08 Oct 2012 – 21 Dec 2012)

The school is seeking to appoint a Full-time Educational Assistant to work with students. Working experience with children and ICT skills are essential. Formal teaching qualifications an advantage. A caring, committed and flexible approach to young people is essential. Experience dealing with students with Special Educational Needs, the academic background to support these students in mainstream classes and the ability to support in all aspects of Physical Education and Food and Technology classes would be advantages.

Applicants for this position should:

• Support all students to a balanced school curriculum.

• Support department by taking on practical roles of responsibility for administrative, managerial and auditing activities.

• Join and work cohesively within a highly motivated and professional group of teachers.

• Support teachers in photocopying and other tasks in order to support Learning and Teaching.

• Undertake other duties from time to time as the teachers / managers require including: Collecting money; Copy typing and Inputting student data; Producing class lists; Record keeping, Filing; Collating material; Stocktaking; Cataloguing, preparing, issuing and maintaining equipment and materials and Ordering supplies and equipment.

• Work collaboratively with teachers.

• Attend team and staff meetings as requested.

• Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance.

Contract Period: 08 October 2012 to 21 December 2012 (11 Weeks)

Monthly Salary : HK$14,670.-

Remarks: Unpaid in School Break (22 – 28 October 2012)
