RE:PRINCETON BOY SCOUTS TROOP 1This day Phillip Ball and part of the Princeton Boy Scouts Troop 1 attended the County Commission meeting for the Citizenship in the Community Merit. Those in attendance included John Allen, Logan Green, Jacob Fedele and Sam Chambers. RE:PUBLIC COMMENTS – JASON FOXThis day Jason Fox, resident of Mercer County appeared before the County Commission to discuss the Essential Services Levy. Greg Puckett explained the proposed levy in detail and answered questions. RE:PUBLIC COMMENTS – ALLEN BURGESSThis day Allen Burgess, appeared before the County Commission to discuss business closures in Mercer County and questioned who is trying to help keep these businesses here. RE:DEPOSIT AT INTEREST – SINKING BOND FUND As provided by section five, article six, chapter seven of the West Virginia State Code, One thousand nine hundred thirty-one, the county treasurer is authorized to establish with county depositories two accounts, one to be designated “demand deposit account” and the other to be designated “time deposit account”. THEREFORE, it appears that the SINKING BOND deposit in the demand deposit account exceed the current requirements or demands, the treasurer of Mercer County is directed to transfer the sum of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS & no/100 ($10,000.00) Dollars to said TIME DEPOSIT account, which will earn interest thereon, for a period of thirty (30) days.This to be effective June 18, 2017.***************************This day came Ellen & Bobby G.
