Call to Worship Luke 24:1-7
Leader: But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise. He is risen!
People: He is Risen indeed! Hallelujah!

See What A Morning
Words and music by Keith Getty and Stuart Townsend
See, what a morn-ing, glo-riously bright
with the dawning of hope in Je-ru-sa-lem
Fold-ed the grave clothes,
tomb filled with light as the an-gels an-nounce
Christ is ris-en!
See God's sal-va-tion plan,
wrought in love, borne in pain,
paid in sac-ri-fice,
Ful-filled in Christ, the Man,
for He lives: Christ is ris-en from the dead
See Ma-ry weep-ing, "Where is he Laid"?
As in sor-row she turns from the emp-ty tomb;
Hears a voice speak-ing, call-ing her name;
It's the Mas-ter, the Lord raised to life a-gain!
The voice that spans the years, Speak-ing life,
Stir-ring hope, bring-ing peace to us,
Will sound till he ap-pears,
For He lives, Christ is ris-en from the dead!
One with the Fa-ther, An-cient of Days,
Through the Spir-it who clothes faith with cer-tain-ty
Hon-or and bless-ing, glo-ry and praise
To the King crowned with pow’r and au-thor-ity!
And we are raised with Him, Death is dead,
life has won, Christ has con-quered;
And we shall reign with Him
For He lives, Christ is ris-en from the dead!
Up From The Grave He Arose
Words and Music by Robert Lowry
Low in the grave he lay—
Jesus, my Saviour,
Waiting the coming day—
Jesus, my Lord.
(chorus)
Up from the grave he arose
With a mighty triumph o'er his foes.
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And he lives for ever with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Vainly they watch his bed—
Jesus, my Saviour;
Vainly they seal the dead—
Jesus, my Lord.
(chorus)
Up from the grave he arose
With a mighty triumph o'er his foes.
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And he lives for ever with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Death cannot keep his prey—
Jesus, my Saviour;
He tore the bars away—
Jesus, my Lord.
(chorus)
Up from the grave he arose
With a mighty triumph o'er his foes.
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And he lives for ever with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Hymns of Praise
Worship Christ the Risen King
Words by Jack Hayford, 1986; Music by Henry Smart, 1867
Rise O Church and lift your voices
Christ has conquered death and hell
Sing as all the earth rejoices
Resurrection anthems swell
Come and worship come and worship
Worship Christ the Risen King
See the tomb where death had laid Him
Empty now its mouth declares
Death and I could not contain Him
For the throne of life He shares
Come and worship come and worship
Worship Christ the Risen King
Hear the earth protest and tremble
See the stone removed with pow'r
All hell's minions may assemble
But cannot withstand His hour
He has conquered He has conquered
Christ the Lord the Risen King
Doubt may lift its head to murmur
Scoffers mock and sinners jeer
But the truth proclaims a wonder
Thoughtful hearts receive with cheer
He is risen He is risen
Now receive the Risen King
We acclaim Your life O Jesus
Now we sing Your victory
Sin or hell may seek to seize us
But Your conquest keeps us free
Stand in triumph stand in triumph
Worship Christ the Risen King
In Christ Alone
Words and Music by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend, 2001
In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid—
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the pow'r of Christ in me.
From life’s first cry, to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand.
'Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the pow'r of Christ I stand.
I Will Rise
By Chris Tomlin
There's a peace I've come to know
though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say, It is well
Jesus, has overcome
and the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
(chorus)
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow ,No more pain
I will rise, on Eagle's wings
Before my God fall on my knees, and rise
I will rise
There's a day that's drawing near
when the darkness breaks to light
and the shadow's disappear
and my faith shall be my eye's
Jesus, has overcome
and the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead (chorus)
(Bridge)
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
Worthy is the Lamb!
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
Worthy is the Lamb!
(Repeat)
(chorus)
Giving of God’s Tithes and Our Offerings
Hymn of Preparation
The Strife is O'er
Text: Anonymous, 12th Century Latin
Music: Giovanni P. da Palestrina, 1591
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
The strife is o'er, the battle done;
the victory of life is won;
the song of triumph has begun:
Alleluia!
The powers of death have done their worst,
but Christ their legions hath dispersed;
let shouts of holy joy outburst:
Alleluia!
The three sad days are quickly sped;
He rises glorious from the dead;
all glory to our risen Head!
Alleluia!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
He closed the yawning gates of hell,
The bars from heaven’s high portals fell;
Let hymns of praise His truimphs tell!
Alleluia!
Lord, by the stripes which wounded thee,
from death's dread sting thy servants free,
that we may live, and sing to thee:
Alleluia!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

“Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner”
Hymn of Response
Christ the Lord Is Risen Today
Words: Latin Carol; Music: Lyra Davidica
Christ, the Lord, is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your voice and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply, Alleluia!
Vain the stone, the watch, the seal, Alleluia!
Christ has burst the gates of hell, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened Paradise, Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died, our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!
Hail, the Lord of earth and heaven! Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail, the Resurrection, thou! Alleluia!
Benediction
