As CEO, Dr. Olds is responsible for the strategic growth and overall management of the company as well as establishing an integrating vision for the company’s various operating units and technical activities. Dr. Olds has over 28 years of experience in the aerospace sector, including positions in private consulting, large aerospace industry, academia, and small business. Prior to founding SEI, Dr. Olds served as a professor in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech and the founding Director of the school’s Space Systems Design Lab. He also held positions at General Dynamics Space Systems and the Mars Mission Research Center at N.C. State. Dr. Olds holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from N.C. State University, an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from N.C. State University. He has received both NASA TGIR and NASA Group Achievement awards for his participation in previous NASA space systems design projects. He is an Associate Fellow in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and is a former Fellow of the NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts (NIAC).Dr. Olds is a native of South Carolina, and currently resides in Dunwoody, GA. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Georgia. ................
