Self-introduction

To All Sophomore English Teachers,

Starting from Fall 2012, four workplace related subjects will be embedded in Sophomore English. They are: How to deliver a strategic self-introduction, How to write an impressive resume, How to prepare for a successful interview, and How to sharpen students’ presentation skills.

Teachers are required to choose at least 2, or if possible all 4 areas to cover in the whole school year.

It is compulsory that teachers clearly state this 10% curriculum requirement in their syllabi. At least 1 subject or 2 subjects for each semester respectively. In addition to core textbook teaching, teachers are free to design different curriculum like in-class activities, take-home assignments or term projects, etc for workplace English.

I’ve also invited part-time teachers who have practical experiences in these subjects to collect and design teaching materials for the Center. Please click on the link: Hope these supplementary materials will help teachers achieve a successful teaching.
