Every product (or service) you sell contains both features and benefits. Features are the WHAT: factual descriptions of what your product contains. Benefits are the WHY: the actual result your customers get from your product and its features.

In other words, features are what they get IN your product, while benefits are what they get OUT of it. Good marketers understand the importance of both.

Your product most likely has multiple features and benefits, although some will be more relevant to your customers than others. It's your job to figure out exactly what features you want to include in your product, and what benefits you want to emphasize in your marketing.

While features are very important (and we make sure our prospects know about all of them), benefits are what ultimately drive someone to buy. Remember, at the end of the day, prospects don't care about you or your product. The only thing they care about is: "What's in it for me?" That's where benefits come in.
