Collaborate with the Financial Aid Office and other departments of the College to ensure all functions are performed in compliance with College, Federal and State policies.Essential Job Functions:Act as a point of contact for inquiries from students, parents, staff member and other departments via the telephone, email or walk in trafficOrganize all billing calendars and conducts global assessment of tuition charges and collections thereof for students enrolled in the School of Professional StudiesDiscuss payment plan options, offer payment figures and corresponding due dates, explain billing policies, late fee processing and appeals and account holdsApply charges and credits from other college departments to tuition accounts via excel imports or manual entry for the following: Bookstore, Snack bar, Library, Public Safety, Class Trips, Student Organizations, Private scholarshipsProcess charge/credit imports and private loan disbursements via Self-Service Powershell to Power Campus softwareManage the third party monthly payment planProcess account closeouts due to withdrawal from the CollegeEstablish, prepare agreements and monitor the internal payment plans for non-enrolled studentsResearch student accounts with outstanding account balances, document collection attempts, process holds accordinglyManage the third party billings for payment by government entities, employers and other outside companiesManage the Student Government Association fundraising events as it relates to the student accountCoordinate and monitor the deferred payment plans in the Graduate program and School of Professional StudiesAssist with collection efforts of past due accounts Prepares and reviews files for submission to collection agenciesAssists in the monthly servicing activities of Perkins loans and applies holds accordinglyAssist in the annual 1098T preparation and distribution.Prepare and evaluate student account refunds in accordance with Title IV regulations and college policyPerform account reconciliations related to payment plans, refund checks, private scholarships and other clearance accounts as plete the daily posting of AR batches in the absence of Student Account RepresentativeSupport College’s policies and procedures in respect to student account appeals with students and parentsAssist in fiscal year end activities and beginning balance processesPhysical Demands:The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
