August 26 and 27 Class ring order forms and picture packet order forms will be distributed in senior homerooms

August 29                  School Pictures for Yearbook

✓ Drapes for ladies/tuxedos for gentlemen will be provided.

Ladies should not wear anything with a collar that cannot be rolled down and covered with the drape.

✓ Gentlemen need to bring a white dress shirt with them. A tie will be provided.

✓ Turn in Class Ring Orders and Deposit ($60-$100)

Give money to Mr. Davidson with Campus Recognition when taking pictures.

Any student interested in running for Senior Officer or Senior Dean should plan to meet in the Media Center immediately after school. This will be the only time to pick up nomination packets.

 

 

September     Vote for Senior Class Officers and Deans

✓ Vote in Homeroom. Morning CC and FT Seniors should vote with Mrs. Pledger between 3rd and 4th period in the cafeteria. Please come by Mrs. Pledger’s office for ring order packets.

September 24    Senior Parent Night

✓ Glenn Auditorium @ 6:30 PM

October 7   Retakes for Senior Picture Day

October 16     Senior Class Picture in Stadium

✓ Be certain you have both an orange and a white shirt with you.

2:00 PM (weather permitting)

I will announce when the order packets arrive. $15 cash to order.

CC/FT seniors will be excused to participate.

 

October (TBA) Vote for Class of 2014 T-Shirt, Hoodies, and Sweats

✓ Order class T-Shirt, Hoodies, and Sweats ($10 -$50 cash only)

November                             T-Shirts, Hoodies, and Sweats Return

November 19, 20, 22            November 18-22 is National College Application Week

                        

✓ On November 19, 20, 22 visit the Media Center to apply for colleges

 

February 14     Senior Day

Students must clear all senior debts prior to February 14, 2014

Pay Class Dues of$40

                                           

✓ Order announcements-Make checks payable to Campus Recognition

✓ Buy tassel keychain ($10 cash)

✓ Measure for cap and gown

✓ Suggest class song and class gift ideas

✓ Take cap and gown pictures 2 poses

(Absent students see Mrs. Pledger in Room 104)

 

March Class Song Practice Begins

✓ Senior Concert Choir members

 

April- May Pay Class Dues of $40

                                         

✓ Pick up caps and gowns.

                                                Only students without outstanding debts will be allowed to pick up caps and gowns.

 

April 28 Senior Banquet-Cafeteria 6:00 PM

May     Pick up Graduation Announcements the first week of May

✓ Mrs. Pledger’s classroom 104 before/after school and during lunch

May 5 AP Testing at Glenn

✓ AP Chemistry and AP Environmental =AM

✓ AP Psychology=PM

May 22 Awards Day for the graduating class of 2014

✓ Seniors are to wear their cap and gown with the tassel on the right. You may wear regular school attire beneath your gown.

June Required Graduation Practice

✓ Approximately 2 hours. Practice will begin in the auditorium and then move to the stadium. No one with debts will be allowed to practice or participate in the ceremony. This practice is mandatory.

 

 

Graduation Ceremony

Glenn High School Stadium

June @ 7:00 PM           

 

Time and date to be announced for the Coliseum Annex ceremony if necessary for inclement weather.

 

Seniors meet will meet in the 400 building at 5:30 PM on the day of graduation.

 

Dress Code for Ladies

•          White shoes

•          Dress that does not hang below graduation gown or above the white graduation collar

•          No flip-flops

 

Dress Code for Gentlemen

•          White dress shirt

•          Dark solid tie

•          Dark dress pants

•          Dark socks

•          Dark dress shoes

•          No athletic shoes or boots

 

 

 

Forsyth County Fire Marshall regulations set the capacity of the stadium. However, there will be no tickets for graduation. When the stadium has reached capacity all others will be turned away.

Encourage your family and friends to arrive early.

 

Parking instructions for graduates, families, and guests will be announced at graduation practice.
