|8. Access Carroll |Tammy discussed an access issue that Madeline Morey reported. There are 1500 senior Medicare recipients on fixed incomes in the county that have been | |
| |negatively affected by increased co-pays of 20%. These seniors are not eligible for Medicaid and are at 150-250% of the poverty level. This is a | |
| |consequence of the ACA and Medicaid expansion. Sharon reported that the CHC is required to ask for co-pays, but medical practices can work with | |
| |patients around this issue. She advised that all patients let their providers know about their difficulty in making payments or meeting their co-pay. | |
|9. New Business |Amy and Tammy brought up the issue re: the difficulty of obtaining outpatient mental health services in the county. There are lengthy waiting lists and|Amy Baker will be Chair of this|
