BradshawTELE: (910) 592-7131FAX: (910) 592-3763RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT for SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM MANAGER(Three Positions = Two Child Welfare and One Adult & Family Services)The primary purpose of the Child Welfare Program Manager is the management and overall supervision of multiple Child Welfare Units, including Child Welfare Supervisors and line social work positions. The primary purpose of the Adult Services Program Manager is overall supervision of the Agency’s Services Division, which includes all Adult/Family Services, Work First Services, Child Care Services, Crisis Intervention Services, and Customer Service Center (HUB) operations. These positions ensure the provision of services in accordance with programmatic policies of the federal, state, and county governments, they are responsible for ensuring delivery of the highest quality of services, and they serve on the Agency’s Senior Management Team.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Considerable knowledge of methods and principles of casework supervision and training. Considerable knowledge of social work principles, techniques and practices and their application to specific casework and community problems. Considerable knowledge of behavioral and socioeconomic problems and their treatment and governmental and private organizations and community resources. Considerable knowledge of the laws, regulations and policies that govern social work programs. Skill in supervising, training, or orienting lower-level social workers, students, interns, or other staff. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree from an accredited school of social work and three years of social work or counseling experience, two of which was in a supervisory capacity; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited school of social work and four years of social work or counseling experience, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; or a master's degree in a counseling field and four years of social work or counseling experience, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; or a four-year degree in a human services field or related curriculum including at least 15 semester hours in courses related to social work or counseling and five years of social work or counseling experience, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; or graduation from a four-year college or university and six years of experience in rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling, or a related human services field providing experience in techniques of casework, group work, or community organization, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.PREFERENCE MAY BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WITH DSS EXPERIENCE AND/OR BILINGUAL SKILLS.ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $56,376 - $87,588GRADE: 76Applicants may apply by submitting a completed NC State Application form (PD-107) AND A COPY OF YOUR COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT to: ATTN: Human Resources, 406 County Complex Rd, Building C.; Clinton, NC 28328.
