Class President

1. Represent the Coordinator when he is not present ? including morning routine. 2. Inform Coordinator who shows up late/tardy to class and/or late from breaks. 3. Maintain constant contact with Coordinator, which may include weekends via text/voice

messaging. 4. Inform Coordinator of any injuries at PT/DT and/or failures on tests in his absence. 5. Make sure that the squads are following academy policies and procedures. 6. Be a liaison between instructors & squad leaders. 7. Delegate duties such as guide-on and sign-in book responsibilities, as well as cleaning of

gym mats/bathrooms. 8. Maintain a current list of memorandums to be submitted & communicate with squad

leaders to remind squad members that they have assignments due. 9. Correct memorandums until they are up to standard and then sign and date to hand in to

the Class Coordinator. 10. Do instructor evaluations on all instructors and delegate each squad an instructor to

evaluate when appropriate. Correct and sign these evaluations when completed. 11. Coordinate with the class treasurers regarding class project, class plaque, class t-shirts,

and possible donation to charity fund/LEO Scholarship. 12. Inform and keep track of all recruits attending and participating in community service. 13. Disseminate any information provided from the Class Coordinator (ie: job openings) to

the class. 14. Disseminate any information regarding community service or other events to the class. 15. Maintain the rules of a clean and organized classroom (no eating in class, chairs pushed

in, monitor recruit computer use, etc.) 16. Do inspections when requested by Class Coordinator ensuring class is up to academy

uniform standards. 17. Warm-up class during PT/DT or designate a squad leader to do so. 18. Hold class meetings periodically to discuss any class issues or decisions that should be

made by the class as a whole. 19. Delivers speech at graduation. 20. Do NOT assign memos to other recruits.

Class Squad Leaders

1. 1st Squad leader is second in chain of command and will take over class president duties in absence of Class President.

2. Maintain order in squad through verbal commands (ie. quiet and seated when appropriate).

3. Make sure everyone in your squad is present and/or accounted for. 4. Responsible for squad to sign the daily academic/PT & DT sign-in sheets. 5. Inspect your squad's uniforms and overall appearance each day (make corrections, if

necessary).

6. Address any issues or problems your squad members might have and ensure the chain of command is used to efficiently solve the issue or problem, if necessary.

7. Carry out orders from the President and Class Coordinator. 8. Revise and correct memorandums before passing them to the Class President. 9. Revise and correct instructor evaluations before passing them on the Class President. 10. Encourage squad solidarity and make sure squad is up-to-date with class business. 11. Motivate Squad/Classmates during PT/DT.

Class Treasurers

? Collect and keep track of class dues from each recruit ? Budget for:

o Merchandise to sell to raise class funds o Class t-shirts (recruits and instructors) o Class plaque o A sizable donation to a scholarship foundation (Valencia Foundation/ Brandon

Coates/ Michael Callin) o Class project(s) ? Organize and manage class fundraiser events ? Manage graduation program ads donations ? Make a donation to bagpiper ? Make donation to word processing for graduation program

Photographers/Videographers

o Document class progress via photographs and videos o Bring camera with you everywhere o Make class video for graduation at the end of the academy

o Music for video must be non-copyrighted music o Organization of sequence per Class Coordinator preference (chronological,

categorical, etc.) o Format required: DVD o Video must be approved by Class Coordinator prior to graduation o Optional: make compilation of class footage DVDs for each recruit o Crowd pleasers: PT/DT, OC spray, firearms, LEVO, fundraisers, community service events, etc.

*Tips: Organize footage as you go along. Do not wait until toward the end of the academy to edit.

NOTE: All positions require the individual to pass all written tests/exams and practical exams.
