PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

During this session the following will be discussed:

• For children with sensory loss, what are high risk factors that could make them at risk for dual sensory losses?

• Discussion of how important Bonding and Relaxation Techniques are for both the child and the parent.

• Learn about the Resonance Board and the “Little Room” to help children move and explore their environment. Techniques for the child to be an active learner will be discussed.

OBJECTIVES:

• Participants will learn high risk factors for dual sensory losses.

• Participants will learn benefits for both the parent and child when it comes to therapeutic touch and massage.

• Participants will learn techniques to help a child be an active learner
