Wisconsin Archaeological Society Fall Business Meeting & Signal Hill Mound Group Rededication Wyalusing State Park

In conjunction with co-sponsors: Wisconsin Archeological Society, Friends of Wyalusing State Park, Effigy Mounds National Monument, and the Mississippi Valley Archeology Center (UW-La Crosse)

Events Breakdown:

Friday, September 23rd: Some Early Membership arrival-

Wyalusing State Park Group Campsite E reserved for early arrivals and people who

want to campout for weekend -instead of hotels etc.

Or: People can get hotels in the area. Or: Just come for the events of Saturday

and head home.

!Saturday’s Time schedule is tentative at this point and subject to change!

Saturday, September 24th:

1. WAS business meeting in Morning 10:00AM?

2. WAS business meeting followed by Mound site rededication ceremony of Signal

Hill Mound Group-Wyalusing State Park. 11:00 AM-11:30?

3. Signal Hill Mound Rededication Ceremony followed by WAS sponsored cookout at Wyalusing Group Campsite E. Starting at 12:00 Noon

4. Afternoon Effigy Mounds National Monument mound site tours. Starting from

1-1:30 to whenever?

***WAS members, friends, and family who would like to camp out at Group site E

for weekend are welcome-the site is already reserved for Friday and Saturday

nights September 23rd and 24th

Sunday, September 25th:

5. More mound tours on Sunday, September 25th in the morning and afternoon.
