Abstract: This document provides a template for preparing papers for submission to Rail Transport in the Modern World. The paper manuscripts should be structured following the technical specifications in the given template. The abstract should be 100-150 words long.

Key words: Document, symposium, paper.

Apstrakt: U ovom uputstvu je opisano na koji način je potrebno pripremiti radove za Železnički transport u savremenom svetu. Rukopis rada tehnički obraditi po ugledu na tekst ovog uputstva. Apstrakt treba da ima 100-150 reči.

INTRODUCTION

This template provides authors with all the required document settings and formatting specifications needed for preparing electronic versions of their papers. Margins, column widths, line spacing, and type styles used for specific sections of the text are built-in throughout this document.

The paper should not exceed 4-6 pages, including text, figures, tables, references and other supplementary materials. The paper is to be submitted to the organizer electronically to the following conference email address: konferencija@vzs.edu.rs

PAPER FORMAT

Papers should be written in the Serbian, Russian or English language. The paper should be typed in the Cyrillic or Roman alphabet in the MS Word (.doc or .docx) program. The prescribed paper size is A4 (210 x 297 mm). The top and bottom margins should be set at 25mm, the left and right margins at 15mm, and the header and footer at 25mm.

The first page of the paper should contain the centrally aligned title of the paper in Serbian and English, or Russian and English, respectively. The names of the authors, their affiliating institutions and email addresses are to be typed in the Times New Roman 11 pt font and centred on the page as well. The paper title and authors' names should be followed by the abstract written in Serbian and the English language, or respectively in the Russian and English language in Times New Roman Italic 10 pt.

The section headings should be typed in Times New Roman 11pt and labelled with Roman numerals applying the Heading 1 style.

1 Subheadings

Please use the Times New Roman font, size 10 pt, for subheadings, as shown in this document. You should type your paper applying normal line spacing and double line spacing between the paragraphs, and the text of the paper should be justified. Use the Times New Roman font, size 10 pt, exclusively.

2 Units of measurement and equations

Use SI (MKS) as primary units.

Equations should be positioned in the centre of the page (central alignment) with numbering on the right side:

3 Figures and tables

Place the figures and tables in the document immediately upon referring to them in the text. Figures should be formatted and captioned in the following manner:

Tables should be formatted and marked in the following way:

Please ensure that figures and tables are within the margin limits. Do not use page numbering.

CONCLUSION

The conclusion may contain an overview of the main findings. The conclusion may explain the importance of the paper and suggest possible applications and recommendations for further research.

REFERENCES

The literature cited should be given at the end of the paper in a separate, unnumbered section. References should be listed in the order of citation in the paper. To refer to the literature use square brackets and the consecutive number of the cited work in the appropriate place in the text. In the case of multiple citations [2], [3], each number should be placed in separate square brackets.
