5. Then again click right on telnet and click start..

6. The state is running now.

e. tracert command

Steps:

• Go to start menu and click on Run.

• Type cmd and enter.

f. nslookup

Steps:

• Go to start menu and click on Run.

• Type cmd and enter.

Reverse Lookup:

g. Remote Desktop Connection.

Steps:

• Go to My Computer and right click on it.

• Go to properties and click on Remote option.

• Click on the check box “allow users to login”.

• Then go to start menu and click on All programs.

• Go to Accessories the communications and click on Remote Desktop Communication.

• Enter the IP address and then enter username and password.

• Now we can remotely login to other computer.

h. Connecting to another computer (using manage of my computer)

Steps:

• Go to My computer and right click on it.

• Click on Manage option.

• Then right click on Computer Management(Local) option.

• Click on “Connect to another computer”.

• Enter the IP address of the computer and then enter username and password.

• Now we are connected to another computer.

Steps:

• Go to start menu and click on Run.

• Type cmd and enter.

Steps to make the type static:

• Type arp –s IP address MAC address.

j. Concept about workgroup and domain

Steps:

• Go to my computer and click right on it.

• Go to properties and click on the tag “Computer Name”.

• See the workgroup.

Concepts:

In workgroup centralized controlling is not possible whereas it is possible in domain workgroup. In domain workgroup there is a DC i.e. Domain Controller. For the practical purpose Domain workgroup is good as in it multiple PC’s username and password are created at single server. In workgroup there is individual database. So, it is not as good as domain for the practical purposes.

Steps:

• Go to any folder you want to share and click right on it.

• Go to properties.

• Click on the tab Sharing.

• Click on the check box “Share this folder on the network” of Network sharing and security.

• The folder will be now shared.

Concept:

This is the process to share a file or a folder. One can easily share his files or folders with other PC on the network. It is all about the administrative share.
