The user guide sample shown uses a fictitious company called Blue Yonder Airlines. The success planning tool is a collaborative environment for the customer and their virtual team, as well as the Microsoft Account Team, and partner. It can be used to detail the onboarding and adoption plan all in one place, and can be used to engage customer IT teams, partners and vendors in deployment planning discussions and to create a proposal or statement of work. Planned activities and workloads for the project are scoped through a series of questions about the organization and environment. This Success Plan has 3 different sections. The Success Plan section is mandatory, and the Onboarding and Adoption sections are optional, and you don’t have to complete all of them at once. To create a new plan, you simply must give it a name, enter a brief description, select the products (Microsoft 365) that you are interested in, and choose a start and end date. Once you’ve successfully created a success plan you can share it with others, manage the completion of the rest of the plan, and check against the progress of the plan at any time. The rest of the mandatory Success Plan section helps you identify scenarios, timelines, and key project personnel. The Onboarding section contains a set of questions regarding the current infrastructure and environment along with technical questions regarding requirements for implementing the specified workloads. Finally, the Adoption section helps to identify the business scenarios to be delivered and build out the user adoption plan. Complete this section to get recommended activities for preparing for deployment and expediting an engagement with a partner. The following section must be completed to be eligible for FastTrack Microsoft 365 offers:Success Plan section:Select Microsoft 365 as your scenario, and provide a short description for the planDefine the implementation timeline for the Microsoft 365 scenariosList business and technical contacts, and note that an offer requestor must be a member of the Success Plan teamThe questions detailed in the Onboarding and Adoption sections are considered optional, although we strongly recommend that you answer as many of the questions as possible as they will lead to the creation of a more comprehensive success plan. These sections help to guide the deployment engagement by highlighting the products, technologies and processes that are currently used by the customer for software update management, security, compliance, application management, and application compatibility. Microsoft FastTrack Partners and Microsoft Account Teams should also feel free to add any information necessary to the success plan to reflect the proposed deployment engagement (for example the current infrastructure of the customer, and how/what was sold to the customer, so the FastTrack Center has context of the customer expectations).Create A Success PlanThis initial section provides a high-level summary of the plan that will become the focus for the rest of the FastTrack engagement. Provide a name for the plan and a short (1,000-character) description of the plan to ensure it can readily be identified. This typically covers the business requirements i.e. what the solution must deliver to meet a business challenge or opportunity, technical requirements i.e. the technical parameters and feature characteristics of the solution, and operation requirements i.e. the regions impacted and the supportability and usability of the solution. This section also provides a drop-down list of products to choose from for the success plan (in this case Microsoft 365), and finally, all success plans should have a well-defined timeline. You can copy contacts from other success plans and workloads/scenarios if they share the same responsibilities.Optional SectionsThese additional areas will prepare you for use of cloud services, onboarding for select scenarios, communication planning, and adoption activities: Service Readiness, Onboarding, and Adoption.
