Motion carried 7-0.RESIGNATION OF PERSONNEL: Anderson moved, seconded by Muxfeldt to approve the resignation of Brian James as Freshman Girls Basketball Coach. Motion carried 7-0.EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONNEL: Schechinger moved, seconded by Larsen to approve the employment of Tom Musich as Bus Driver; Neil Ferguson as Bus Driver; and Jessica Farrell as 2nd Grade Teacher. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVE 2019-2020 SCHOOL CALENDAR: Hazelton moved, seconded by Devlin-Lawler to approve the 2019-2020 school calendar as presented. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVE THE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE HEA: Anderson moved, seconded by Devlin-Lawler to approve the tentative agreement with the HEA of a base wage increase of $328. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE INCREASE FOR HS SHOW CHOIR SPONSOR: Anderson moved, seconded by Larsen to approve the increase in the HS show choir sponsor from 6% to 9% of base wage. This increase is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE ADDITION OF MS SHOW CHOIR SPONSOR: Devlin-Lawler moved, seconded by Schechinger to approve the addition of a MS show choir sponsor at 6% of base wage. This addition is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE ADDITION OF HS DRAMA – MUSCIAL SPONSOR: Hazelton moved, seconded by Anderson to approve the addition of HS drama-musical sponsor at 14% of base wage. This addition is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE INCREASE FOR HS STUDENT COUNCIL SPONSOR: Larsen moved, seconded by Muxfeldt to approve the increase in the HS student council sponsor from 8% to 11% of base wage. This increase is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE INCREASE FOR HOSA SPONSOR: Schechinger moved, seconded by Devlin-Lawler to approve the increase for the HOSA sponsor from 5% to 7% of base wage. This increase is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE INCREASE FOR MOCK TRAIL SPONSOR: Anderson moved, seconded by Hazelton to approve the increase for the mock trial sponsor from 5% to 7% of base wage. This increase is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE ADDITION FOR DRAMA CLUB SPONSOR: Devlin-Lawler moved, seconded by Larsen to approve the addition of drama club sponsor at 5% of base wage. This addition is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE ADDITION FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLUB SPONSOR: Schechinger moved, seconded by Anderson to approve the addition of foreign language club sponsor at 5% of base wage. This addition is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE INCREASE FOR BOWLING COACH: Anderson moved, seconded by Hazelton to approve the increase for the bowling coach from 8.5% to 13% of base wage. This increase is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0. APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE CHANGE TO MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY COACHES: Muxfeldt moved, seconded by Larsen to change the coach structure of the MS cross country coaches by eliminating the assistant coach position at 6% of base wage and make two head coaches at 8.5% of base wage. This change is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE ADDITION OF MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT VOLLEYBALL COACHES FOR 7TH GRADE AND 8TH GRADE: Devlin-Lawler moved, seconded by Anderson to approve the addition of MS assistant volleyball coach positions at 7th grade and 8th grade at 6% of base wage. This addition is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE ADDITION OF MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT TRACK COACH POSITIONS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS: Muxfeldt moved, seconded by Hazelton to approve the addition of an assistant Middle School Boys and assistant Middle School Girls track coach at 6% of base wage. This addition is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF SUPPLEMENTAL PAY INCREASE FOR WEIGHT ROOM COMPENSATION: Schechinger moved, seconded by Devlin-Lawler to increase the supplemental pay for weight room supervision from $12.50 per hour to $15.00 per hour. This increase is based upon comparison study completed by the Athletic/Activities Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF 9/10 MONTH ASSOCIATE PAY INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Anderson moved, seconded by Schechinger to approve the 9/10 month associate pay increase for 2019-2020 of 2.06% package increase. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF 9/10 MONTH CERTIFICATE STIPEND INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Hazelton moved, seconded by Devlin-Lawler to approve the 9/10 month certificate stipend increase from $.35 per hour to $.50 per hour. This increase is based upon a comparability study completed by the 9/10 month negotiations committee in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF MIDDLE SCHOOL KITCHEN MANAGER PAY INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Anderson moved, seconded by Schechinger to approve the middle school kitchen manager pay increase of $1.85/hour. This is based upon a comparability study completed by the Food Service Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF ELEMENTARY KITCHEN MANAGER PAY INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Devlin-Lawler moved, seconded by Larsen to approve the elementary kitchen manger pay increase of $1.40/hour. This is based upon a comparability study completed by the Food Service Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF ELEMENTARY BAKER PAY INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Hazelton moved, seconded by Anderson to approve the elementary baker pay increase of $1.40/hour. This is based upon a comparability study completed by the Food Service Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF FOOD SERVICE COOK POSITION PAY INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Schechinger moved, seconded by Muxfeldt to approve the cook position increase of $1.40/hour. This is based upon a comparability study completed by the Food Service Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF FOOD SERVICE STAFF PAY INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Devlin-Lawler moved, seconded by Anderson to approve the food service staff pay increase of 2.06% package increase. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF DISTRICT MECHANIC PAY INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Schechinger moved, seconded by Anderson to approve the district mechanic pay increase of $2.00/hour. This is based upon comparability study completed by the Transportation Director in conjunction with the HCSD Board negotiations team. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF PRINCIPALS, ELEMENTARY DEAN OF STUDENTS, DIRECTORS, SCHOOL-BASED INTERVENTIONISTS, TRANSPORTATION, AND 12 MONTH NON-CERTIFIED SUPPORT STAFF PAY INCREASE FOR 2019-2020: Larsen moved, seconded by Hazelton to approve the principals, elementary dean of students, directors, school-based interventionists, transportation, and 12 month non-certified support staff pay increase of 2.06% package increase. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF SPECIAL EDUCATION CONTRACT WITH STORM LAKE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT: Anderson moved, seconded by Devlin-Lawler to approve the special education contract with Storm Lake Community School District. Motion carried 7-0.APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA: Muxfeldt moved, seconded by Devlin-Lawler, to approve the consent agenda as presented.
