Some of the colors and techniques may be very different from what you would normally wear. We are following basic and standard theatrical make-up application for the performance. Once the face is made up the make-up will appear to be very heavy and bright under normal lighting and at a close distance. This is good. It will not look the same on stage under the bright lights from the audience seating. If the make-up is not applied properly, too light and with the wrong colors, the face will fade with no definition of features and colors can change hue under the lights. So please follow the make-up guidelines as close as possible. Please note: Some of the listed brands or color options for lipstick and eye shadow are now discontinued however we know many of you have these items still in your make-up kits from previous performances with the Dance Repertory Company. Therefore, we have listed multiple options for lipstick and eye shadows. College students who have Ben Nye or Mehron professional theatrical make-up kits may use these kits instead of the brands listed below.Adult Males (Nolan, Nathan and Colin): Foundation Options (1 shade darker than your skin tone): Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless, Covergirl Ultimate Finish, Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse, or for Mary Kay Foundation see consultant Powder Options: Covergirl Professional loose powder, Maybelline Shine Free Oil-Control loose powder, or Mary Kay Loose Powder Brown Eye Shadow options (to use as shader): Covergirl Eye Enhancers Swiss Chocolate, or Mary Kay Driftwood Light eye shadow options (to use as highlighter): Covergirl Eye Enhancers Snow Blossom, Maybelline Expert Wear Vanilla, or Mary Kay Crystalline Any waterproof black eyeliner (suggest liquid) Blush Options: Covergirl Cheekers Sierra Sands #160, or Mary Kay Golden Copper A neutral lip color of your choice Preston and Isaac:Powder Options: Covergirl Professional loose powder, Maybelline Shine Free Oil-Control loose powder, or Mary Kay loose face powder Blush Options: Covergirl Cheekers Soft Sable #120, Maybelline FIT Buff #10, L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Blush Soft Sun W7-8, or Mary Kay Golden Copper Carmex or Chapstick.Make-up application for males: First apply your foundation, making sure all edges of the face are smooth with no lines.
