All students and their parents interested in College Credit Plus should attend the Tues. Jan. 8th 2019 meeting @ 6:30 pm in the theater. Intent to Participate forms will be distributed and are due to the guidance office by March 29th.

After submitting an Intent to Participate form, students apply to the college(s) they wish to take CCP classes through. Each student must complete a CCP application for each college and request a transcript be sent from Guidance to complete your application.

CCP course textbooks are paid for by MVHS and must be returned. Each college's deadline and procedure is different. Failure to do so will result in your student being charged for the textbook.

Students must complete an assessment exam (ACT, Accuplacer, etc). Scores must indicate readiness for college level work in at least one subject area. Students make arrangements with the college to complete testing if they don't already have a qualifying ACT score.

If the student is accepted to the college, they must meet with their MVHS counselor to discuss course choices and the college counselor to register for CCP courses. It is the student's responsibility to make sure they are getting scheduled for the college classes with the college advisor.

? Students planning on taking CCP classes at MVHS (COTC or KAP), courses will be placed into their high school schedule in the same manner as other high school courses. Students still must meet the above criteria.

? Student taking CCP at college campus, students will arrange a time to meet with their college CCP advisor to schedule their fall courses. To assist with this process, in early to mid-May, students should meet with their MVHS counselor to determine what periods they will have available for Fall Semester. Students cannot schedule classes that have a time conflict with their MVHS courses. **Students are responsible for submitting their college schedule to the MVHS Guidance office prior to the start of the semester.

? Students who receive an "F" in any college CCP course will be required to reimburse MVHS for that course and the "F" will impact their high school and college transcript.
