Today's Announcements

for Wednesday, November 10th

• This Saturday from 10 AM-2 PM, The Roselle Park Police Department will be having an old/unused medication collection site at police headquarters. Parents can bring any old or unused medication for disposal. Questions, please call Detective Cocca at 908-245-6187.

• Roselle Park High School PTSA is holding a Clothing Drive this Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM (Rain or Shine). Please drop off clothing, bedding, towels, handbags, belts, stuffed animals, pillows and curtains at the Larch Street side parking lot of the high school this Saturday. The funds raised from this go to support our Parent/Teacher Association. Check out our Clothing Drive Vendor’s Website:

• There is an important Title I meeting on Monday, November 15th at 6:15 PM in the high school library for all parents and guardians of students enrolled in Math Problem Solving or Language Arts Workshop. Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting to learn about the steps being taken to enable your child to be successful in school. Refreshments will be served. 

• Attention all seniors: Senior Apparel orders and monies are due tomorrow.

• Musical Auditions have arrived!!!  There will be a workshop for all females interested in auditioning for this year's spring musical. The workshop will take place this Thursday, November 11th in the high school music room (Room 22 next to the RPTV studio).  No experience is necessary and there is no need to prepare anything.  The show has not been chosen yet, but some possibilities are: Annie, The Wizard of Oz, Fame, Me and My Girl, and My Fair Lady. Auditions will take place on Monday, November 15th at 3:30 and Thursday, November 18th at 6:00.  Some students may be asked to attend a callback audition on Tuesday, November 23rd at 6:00.  All students must sign up in the main office and fill out an audition packet.

• Attention all students, Interact club needs your help.  We are currently collecting canned and packaged food for our annual food drive.  All food donated will be given to our local food pantry.  The homeroom that collects the most items will be awarded a breakfast party.  See Mr. Fucci or Nick Maulbeck with any questions.

• Attention Seniors – Rutgers University’s priority deadline is December 1st. Please make sure you pick up an unofficial copy of your transcript along with your State ID number from the Guidance Department. In addition, make sure your SAT scores have been sent to Rutgers directly from CollegeBoard.

• Future Health Career Club members in the 11th and 12th grade who signed up for the Liberty Science Center trip must stop and see Mrs. Haddad today or tomorrow. 

• Interact Members, Joe Corbi order forms are in.  Please see Mr. Fucci in Room 1 to start selling our first fundraiser. 

• Attention all Powder Puff Players: T-shirt money is due by November 15th. If you do not purchase the shirt, you will not play. It is $10 a shirt for juniors and $15 for seniors. Also, stop by Room 9 and select the t-shirt size you desire.

• Sophomores - The shirt sale is coming to an end.  See Mr. Fucci to place an order for a t-shirt ($12) or long sleeve shirt ($15).  Shirts will be ready for the pep rally!

• Seniors, the yearbook needs your help.  We are looking for candid, gala, baby and elementary/middle school pictures for the yearbook.  Please submit these pictures using the school website.  If you need assistance, please see Mr. Fucci, Matt Dudek, Megan Bodtman or a yearbook staff member.

Today

• Seniors, do not forget your senior group shot for the yearbook will take place today during 7th period.  Listen for announcements.  Also, the last of the senior superlatives will be taken at this time.

• All freshman football players who are playing in tonight's game and need to be taped up or seen by Mr. Rodriguez, please report to the his office at 3 PM.

Tomorrow

• Interact members: our next meeting is Thursday after school in Room 1.  Please see Mr. Fucci or Romina Gfeller with any questions.

• Students who are taking yearbook as an independent study:  There is a mandatory meeting on Thursday at 3:00 in Room 1.  Please see Mr. Fucci with any questions.

Next Week

• Those that were interested in trying out for the bowling team: tryouts are taking place Monday, November 15th at 3PM at Jersey Lanes.  Please see Mr. Fucci with any questions.  Do not forget all of your paperwork needs to be approved in advance.
