No, it must be Windows as part of the VA PlatformWhat is the actual start date?? There will need to be a time period, given to get staff on board through the background checks at the VA. VA estimates that actual performance will start within 30 days of Award of Contract. Can you clarify the size of the of the MRI needed? The solicitation doesn't call for wide bore technology, but it asks for a 450 lb table limit.? Is 350 lbs and 60cm bore acceptable?? The bore dimensions will be 60 cm and the table weight must be able to support 450 lbs.? Due to the body habitus of the veteran population, the weight limit is higher to ensure all veterans can be scanned on this machine and that we don’t have to send them out fee basis because we are unable to scan. Will a windows 7 laptop used to transfer images to the facility be acceptable or does the scanner operating system need to be windows 7?? Vendors will not use their own computer systems to transfer images; they will be provided a computer that is tied to the network/CTVHCS.? See 12. a of SOW.? However, the operating system in the MRI must be Windows 7 or newer to stay abreast with the VA’s operating system. Does the system have to be moved out over the weekend?? No; the facility is locked down over the weekend. Has this site ever had any "dirty power" issues? For example, power surges, brown outs, phase changes, or loss of power.? There have been no power surges, loss of power, brown outs, etc.? There has been weather issues, such as storms, etc. that shut the facility down.? Randomly, the system runs slow but that is a network issue, not a Austin facility issue.?Under section 4. a. CTVHCS shall provide a covered walkway, utility connections, and an appropriate computer line(s) for use by the Contractor. What is the power provided at the utility connection?? 150 amp, 480 three phase volt Also, is that power backed up by generator?? Yes, the facility does have a backup generator. What is the projected start date for the service? Dependent on contract being put in place. VA estimates that actual performance of the contract will be within 30 days of award; taking in to account delivery and set-up of equipment, background checks by the VA and credentialing of Technologist by the VA.You stated 5 days per week.? Is that correct? Yes, Monday thru Friday. Para 1, b.What is the estimated patient volume per day or week or month? Estimated daily volume is 10 scans per day, a minimum of 50 per week. Can the Coach remain on the pad full time or must it be moved to allow access to other equipment? The coach may remain on the pad if the vendor wants to leave it. This pad is dedicated to the MRI mobile trailer, so there is no mandate to remove the trailer. Some take their machines on Friday evening and bring back on Monday for other jobs over the weekend. See Para 2, c.I didn’t’ see an actually RFI Solicitation attached or type of equipment you require such as Siemans vs. GE. Both can be provided, however- pricing is different on one vs. the other? We are not limiting to the type of machine, ie. GE, Siemens, Toshiba. If the machine meets the specifications in Para 2, b., we will work with it.I can bid this SOW as specified.? But I want to introduce another option.? This SOW is for a 1 year and 4 option years, 5 days per week roughly 8 hours per day to include staff.? This makes this a "fixed mobile" operation.? Your SOW calls for equipment no older than 5 years old with no additional upgrades specified during the contract period? ?I am not sure exactly what the question is or the other option stated above. The reason for a newer machine is due to our PACS system and making sure it can talk with our equipment and to reduce the amount of downtime an older machine can incur. If a newer machine and/or upgrades becomes available, they can certainly replace/upgrade the older machine, but not during business hours. Please note that there will not be a modification to the contract at government expense to replace/upgrade equipment. It is expected that the equipment that is offered will meet the needs of the VA as outlined in the SOW for the complete period of performance to include all option years. The SOW requires just 1 technologist. We usually also staff a patient coordinator on the mobile coach unless the facility provides same. Is this SOW staffing totally set on just a single technologist? The MRI Tech provided by the vendor will have a Health Tech assigned from VA CTVHCS to help with the patients moving to and from the scanning site. The vendor, per the contract, will provide staffing, so they must have more than one person tagged as running this machine (in the event one tech is out, the second credentialed tech can take over). We will credential these personnel and if they have credentials with CTVHCS, they can operate the machine for us. The onus is on the vendor; they don’t get paid unless they are running the machine and therefore need the staffing to cover that. I was reading the solicitation and I have a couple of questions: Is this a new requirement? Is there a proposal page limit? Should we include past performance? Yes, this is a new requirement. There is no proposal page limit. Yes. Past performance should be included, 2 references with contract number and POC and POC contact information. Is there an Incumbent contractor? No, this is a new requirement.I want to reiterate that Evaluation is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA)Meaning award will be made to Lowest price proposal which meets specifications in solicitation (Mobil MRI specifications and Technologist Qualifications). ................
