Thank you for your support.The Makeni Trust: We have heard recently from our partner Fr Joe Turay, how hard life is at the moment for the poorest people in Sierra Leone as a result of Covid 19. Many cannot feed their children or afford to buy shoes, uniforms or books to send them to school. Many, many people will be hungry this Christmas. Therefore, we are appealing for donations so that we can help the very poorest. Every penny donated goes to Fr Joe Turay who buys rice and distributes it to the poor in Makeni.Since lockdown in March, Delia Kay has knitted every evening using up oddments of wool and has knitted baby cardigans, hats and teddies. Beginning next Saturday 12th Dec, they are all on display in the parish centre for you to take, and then make a donation to the Makeni fund. If you go through to the hall, past the sacristy and out through the front door of the parish centre, everyone will be able to be socially distanced.
