Producing Your WWBD Video

Producing Your WWBD Video Minecraft Version

1. Have the creator of the world open it.

2. On a Quest iPad, have a different group member sign into the Minecraft app and join the world.

3. Navigate to the part of the world where your story will begin.

4. Swipe up from the bottom of the iPad and click on the screen recording button. It will begin counting down. Open Minecraft again. Once you see the red bar at the top, the recording has started.

5. One group member should read the story while the other navigates through the world to match what is happening in the story. (Communicate with each other to match the speed ? you aren't recording audio yet.)

Screen recording button

6. When you are finished, touch the red bar at the top of the screen and stop the recording. It is saved to your camera roll.

7. Now it's time to act it out in front of the green screen! 8. Open the Green Screen app and start a new project. In the bottom row, click

on the + sign and choose video. Add the screen recording from your camera roll. 9. In the middle row, click on the + sign and select camera.

10. When your actor stands in front of the green screen, you'll be able to see them in the environment. You'll want a 3rd person to be the photographer. A group member should read the story, following at the pace of the video. Communicate with the actor to tell them where to stand and where to move. (Again ? don't worry about audio yet!) Don't spend time making it perfect!!!

11. When you hit the stop button, save the video to the camera roll.

12. Now ? on to iMovie!

Open iMovie and start a new movie. Add the Green Screen video that was just saved to your camera roll.

13. Recording audio:

Click on your video, at the bottom click "Detach audio."

After you detach audio, it will show up below in blue. Click on the delete button to remove it.

14. Now you will read your story. Click the microphone button and "Record" when you are ready. Do your best to match the pacing of the video you recorded. (If it would help, you can Airdrop the video to another iPad to watch it while you record the audio in iMovie.)

15. Watch your video to make sure you are happy with it. Then, under your video, click the export button (box with arrow). Select "Save video."

16. You're done! Upload to Seesaw for the world premiere.

Producing Your WWBD Video Diorama Version

1. Take a picture of your diorama if you want to keep the background the same throughout your video.

If you want to focus on different parts of your diorama for different parts of the video, do a video instead. Have one group member read the story while the other zooms in and moves around the diorama to match what is happening in the story. Try to avoid filming anything outside of the diorama. (Communicate with each other to match the speed ? you aren't recording audio yet.)

2. Now it's time to act it out in front of the green screen!

3. Open the Green Screen app and start a new project. In the bottom row, click on the + sign and choose video or image depending on what you're adding. Add the picture or video from your camera roll. You can zoom in or crop the video/picture if needed.
