Your child's health depends on carefully following these directions.

1. Choose the recipe size that meets your child's feeding schedule. 2. Measure the amount of water to use. 3. Use the scoop inside the can or measuring cups to measure the powder.

It should be level and unpacked. 4. Add the powder to the water. Then shake well until there are no clumps.

? Always wash your hands with soap and water before making formula. ? Always wash bottles and nipples well between uses. ? Never heat bottles in the microwave.

Keep prepared formula in the refrigerator and throw away any that you have not used after 24 hours.

For feedings by mouth: Use the formula within 1 hour of starting a

feeding. After 1 hour, throw it away.

For feedings by tube: Throw away any formula that has been out of the

refrigerator for more than 4 hours.
