Business Leadership Cumulative 2017TaskFor this cumulative, you will be completing two things. Part 1 will be choosing and reading a leadership book of your choice. There are tons of options out there. See the attached list of suggestions if you are looking for a place to get started. Part 2 will be an 8-10 presentation to your peers giving a visual motivational ‘Ted Talk’ using a presentation software application. (PowerPoint, Prezi, Google Slides etc.). This will be a summary of the book you have read, as well as what you have learned in this class. InstructionsPick and read a motivational book on leadership, management, business success, wisdom, etc. Have the book approved by Mr. Stevens. Each student will present on a different book. (first-come, first-served). While reading, make hand-written notes on the key ideas, inspirational quotes, stories, examples or successes that could be highlighted in your presentation. Be sure to include the page number beside the note. Your rough notes need to be handed in with your assignment. You should also include some notes on how some of our course material related to your book. Your final slide will be about what you have learned. You are expected to include at least 3 key “takeaway” elements from this course. Prepare an 8-10 slide presentation that summarizes the book. A print out of your presentation (4 slides per page) needs to be handed in with your assignment.Content DescriptionsYour rough notes must include the following itemsA minimum of 10 quotes or stories from the book. Chapter and page numbers must be included. The key point from each chapter, summarized in 2-3 sentencesYour thoughts on each chapter, minimum of 3 points per chapter.Connections to elements we learned in class. These must be specific, minimum of 8 needed. Your final presentation slideshow must include the following: Summary of the book as a whole, key elements, themes, and stories. Minimum of 3 key takeaways from the book for yourself. What points are you going to remember 10 years from now, and why? Minimum of 3 key takeaways from the course as a whole. Again, what elements are you going to remember 10 years from now. Recommendation of the book. Would you recommend this to someone? Why or why not? Your presentation itself will be marked on the following elementsClear, concise slides. Appropriate amounts of information on the slides. (i.e do not write entire paragraphs on the slides and then simply read off of it. Bullet points are important)Clear, confident presentation to class. (Not simply standing up and reading off your slides word for word.)All elements are included and touched on. Appropriate length.
