Date Revised: June 2020?Primary Purpose:The PEIMS coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the district complies with TEA guidelines for PEIMS submissions. ? The PEIMS coordinator manages daily data processes as well as oversees campus reporting and training of PEIMS staff regarding processes and procedures to ensure data integrity and validity.Qualifications:Minimum Education/Certification:High School diploma degree or GEDBachelor’s degree in related field preferredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Proficient in the Skyward Student Information SystemKnowledge of On Data suite preferredProficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Outlook)Knowledge of Texas Attendance laws and rules as well as knowledge of TSDS PEIMS (TEDS\TWEDS), Core Collections (ECDS, SPPI-14, RF Tracker, SPE Language Acquisition), and OCR data standardsMaintains accurate and auditable recordsAnalyze datasets and create processes to detect and resolve data integrity concernsCandidate must have a strict attention to detailManage relationships and tasks of attendance clerks and registrarsStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAdaptable to new things and able to work well under pressure?Collaborative and willing to teach and learnPossess a positive, can-do attitudeRemain current in best practices and new guidelines related to PEIMS via conferences, seminars, meetings, announcements, manual, etc.?Make decisions within state guidelines and specifications.Knowledge of Leaver Codes preferredExperience:A minimum of three years of successful work in PEIMS data entry, submission, and reporting.Three to five years of school related employment preferred.Major Responsibilities and Duties:??? Support campus and district staff on student SIS related issues (Skyward) including Health, Special Programs, Activity Groups, and Security PermissionsManage day to day campus PEIMS activitiesLiaise with campus administration to streamline communication and address concerns with PEIMS processes.Manage data import\exports into Skyward and TEA applications including assessment pre-code files for STAAR\EOC\TELPAS, TSDS ECDS, TSDS PEIMS, TSDS CORE collection submissions, STAAR\EOC\TELPAS test results, and college board dataCreate, maintain, and support Data Mining and Custom Reports (Crystal Reports) for campus and district staff as well as gather requirements for new reporting requestsCreate and implement coding specification handbooks for all program areas as well?Develop and provide training for all PEIMS clerks in LISD.?
