Required Materials:

*Human Anatomy & Physiology Lab Manual, Marieb, 10th Ed.

**Safety Goggles. Available for purchase in the RCC bookstore. If you want to purchase goggles outside the RCC bookstore, they must meet the ANSI Standard Z87.1-1989/2003 (Chemical Goggles, Polycarbonate Lens with indirect venting)

***Gloves. Can be purchased at the RCC Bookstore, or other general store. Minimum 1 pair

STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ANNOUNCED CHANGES IN THE SYLLABUS

GRADING:

3 Lab Practical Exams (50 points each) 150 100-90% = A Superior

Lab Quizzes (10 points each) 70 89-80% = B Above Average

Total Lab Points Possible 220 79-70% = C Average

69-60% = D Below Average

59-0% = F No Credit

QUIZZES

Weekly lab quizzes will be given at the beginning of lab each week. The quiz will cover material from the previous week’s labs. You may take the quizzes in groups no larger than two (2) students. The correct answers to all lab review sheets are found in the notebooks in the lab room.

EXAMINATION POLICY

There will be little or no opportunity to make up missed lab exams. Students finding it unavoidable to miss a lab exam should contact the instructor prior to the regularly scheduled exam if at all possible. Missing a lab exam may seriously compromise your course grade.
