Library News:
We will be using a new catalog system, Follett Destiny. Currently we are in transition with Follett checking items out and our previous system, Alexandria, checking items in. We hope to have all of our circulation transactions on Follett by the first of the year. This is where we need our patrons support in returning overdue items by the 5th of January 2015. All overdue books will be placed into fines and fees in the student's records in Skyward when we close our account with Alexandria on the 15th of January. Letters went out with the report card informing those with overdue items. In our new system, Follett, will send overdue information to Skyward in its nightly update reports.
The Camas School District policy states "Fines or damage charges may be levied for lost textbooks, library books or equipment. In the event the student does not make proper restitution, grades, transcripts and/or diplomas will be withheld. (3520P: Student Fees, Fines, Charges) A fine for the lost library books will be placed on the student's school records. Please pay the fine or return the items.
Thank you for both your help and understanding that our library books are a valued resource.
