Student Goals for 2016-17

Academic dishonesty of any sort will not be tolerated and will be punished by an automatic zero on the assignment and a referral to administration. This includes cheating on tests, copying homework, purposely turning in assignments after deadlines in order to copy corrected answers from classmates, use of cell phones for any reason during tests/quizzes, or missing an administration of an exam in order to ask classmates for questions prior to make-up. Be advised that working in a group does not give you permission to submit lab reports that duplicate your partners’ conclusions, etc. You should also avoid searching the internet for homework/quiz answers unless otherwise instructed to do so.

Be advised that changing just a word here and there is still copying someone else’s ideas and would still be considered plagiarism!

*HW will be given nightly however will only be checked for completion and you will be evaluated on understanding using section/unit quizzes that will be given weekly.

Posting of Grades

Grading Policy

Safety is a fundamental part of any lab exercise. Any student failing to follow the safety contract will receive a zero for that lab exercise. (Other disciplinary actions may apply.) Students may not participate in lab exercises until they have signed and turned in the safety contract.

Any student absent or wearing open-toed shoes will be required to complete an alternative assignment.

*Note: students that are not wearing the proper lab attire will have 10% deducted from their final lab grade.

ALL missing grades are recorded as “0”. If an assignment is missing due to an absence, it will be recorded & calculated as a “0”, but will be changed when the missing work is made up and graded.

A daily up to date progress report for your child will be available online through the Skyward system.
