THE FIRST "NEW" MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP IN OVER 50 YEARS

THOMASVILLE, NC: Of all the components that make up an engine, the fuel pump is quite likely the most important. The best performance parts on the planet won't do you any good if your fuel pump fails. Or worse, an inadequate pump could cause an engine to run lean and detonate, possibly damaging your expensive pistons, valves and cylinder heads - especially if you have a turbocharged, nitrous or high-compression performance engine.

Unimpressed with traditional diaphragm-style mechanical fuel pumps, race-tech guru Howard Stewart of Stewart Development has spent the last sixteen years designing the truly revolutionary Race Pump for carbureted small-block Chevy engines (other applications to follow). The reciprocating-piston Race Pump is an engineering marvel: 204 GPH at an unregulated pressure of 60 PSI at any RPM between idle and 10,000. Which is theoretically enough fuel for a 2,856 HP engine and far more than enough for the engine of your wildest dreams! The valveless, variable-displacement design means the Race Pump only pumps as much fuel volume as is needed, which conveniently allows the use of deadhead or bypass regulators. There's no drop in fuel pressure throughout the entire RPM range and the anti-drainback design maintains line pressure even with the engine off. The Race Pump requires only 25-percent of the usual pushrod force, weighs a third as much as most diaphragm-style pumps and is considerably smaller, which makes it great for engine swaps and narrow racecar or hot rod chassis. CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and hardcoated for long-term durability, the Race Pump features stainless steel internal parts and proprietary seals designed for gasoline and methanol applications. The pump comes with a -10 inlet and -8 outlet installed, a spare -8 inlet, high-grade mounting hardware, and is available externally polished or fully hardcoated. If you want maximum fuel pump performance and reliability for your engine, the Race Pump should definitely be on your parts list!
