The Education and Research profile spans through Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health, Social Work, Bio-Medical science, Psychology to Sports Health and Exercise Science. Within the Nursing Department, we are redeveloping the structure and content of our curricula to ensure that our students can meet the complex and evolving challenges that they face in practice; this includes a number of new initiatives which include strengthening our international portfolio and developing our apprenticeship programmes. Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the postThe post holder will join a team of academic staff involved in the delivery of the range of nursing and associated health programmes offered within the Faculty. The role requires a significant contribution to the planning, development, delivery, quality assurance and enhancement of our University Certificate, Degree Apprenticeships (Nursing and Nursing Associate) and local and internationally delivered pre-registration Nursing curricula and programmes. The post holder will have a key role in the delivery of teaching clinical skills and adult nursing related topics in accordance with the new Nurse Education Standards as defined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (2018) which will be embedded in our Nursing provision. There is also an expectation that the post holder will engage in scholarly activity related to clinical practice, policy or education. Teaching and supervision on components of our continuing professional development and postgraduate programmes may also be required.
