Material Beads 2 Lace foam bead bucket 11 1/2" x 17" black foam sheet 8 1/2" x 11" foam sheets, in black, purple and orange 12" black Fuzzy StixTM 2" black poms 20 mm Googly EyesTM empty 2-liter soda bottle scissors (parental supervision needed) craft knife ruler pencil tape

Instructions:
1) Soda bottle base: Measure 7" up from bottom, mark plastic and cut. Discard top. Wash and dry bottle base, then turn it upside down to make your Soda Bottle Halloween Spider! Tip: Ask an adult for help if needed.
2) Spider body: Cut a 16" x 7 1/2" piece of black foam. Wrap around bottle, staying even with edges, overlap ends and glue to bottle. Cut 1 4 1/2" wide black foam circle and glue to flat top.
3) Leg holes: On each side of bottle, measure and mark a spot 2" down from top. Using craft knife tip, push through foam and bottle carefully to cut a small X. Tip: Ask an adult for help if needed.
4) Leg formation: Thread foam beads onto 6 black Fuzzy StixTM as shown in diagram. Finish leg formation by twisting each bottom stem over 2" black pom. Gather 3 legs, 1 each color. Twist upper stems together tightly. Repeat with other 3 legs, matching color order.
5) Legs: Insert stem end of each leg group into an X spot and push through until beads are against spider body. Reach inside your spider's body and tape stem end of each leg group to bottle.

6) Stomach: Using template, cut out orange foam stomach and glue to front of bottle. Buttons: Glue 5 small round foam beads on stomach.
7) Eyes: Using templates, cut out purple foam eye shape and orange foam eye circles. Glue purple circles on orange piece. Glue 2 Googly EyesTM on 2 large round foam beads, then glue onto orange eye circles. Glue purple piece to your spider's face.
8) Smile: Using template, cut out black foam mouth. Cut 2 small yellow foam round beads in half lengthwise. Glue on mouth to form 2 teeth. Glue mouth under eyes.
9) Antennae: Bend 1 12" Fuzzy StixTM in half. Glue 1 foam star bead on each end. Cut 1 small round foam bead in half across center and glue halves on stars. Glue center point of Fuzzy StixTM to bottle behind eyes. Your spider is done!
