WE BELIEVE IN GOD THE ETERNAL FATHER AND IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST AND IN THE HOLY GHOST.

NAME-

Heavenly Father is the father of everyone.

NAME-

He is kind and loves his children.

NAME-

He sent Jesus to be our Savior.

NAME-

The Holy Ghost can keep us from danger.

And help us make right choices.

I can follow Jesus Christ’s example. Jesus said, “Come, follow me.”

I can follow Christ’s example by saying prayers and giving hugs when you hurt someone.

NAME–

I can follow Christ’s example by obeying all of God’s commandments

I obey Jesus Christ because I love Him. “If ye love me, keep my commandments”

CTR 5 – THE HOLY GHOST TESTIFIES OF THE TRUTH OF ALL THINGS

How do I gain a testimony of the Savior and the gospel? When I pray, read the scriptures, keep the commandments, and follow the living prophets; Heavenly Father will give me a testimony through the Holy Ghost.

By the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. (Moroni 10:5)

I am thankful for the Holy Ghost.

NAME-

One important way Heavenly Father talks to His children is through His living prophets. President Howard W. Hunter said, “Let us be a temple-attending people. Attend the temple as frequently as personal circumstances allow. Keep a picture of a temple in your home that your children may see it. Teach them about the purposes of the House of the Lord. Have them plan from their earliest years to go there and to remain worthy of that blessing.” I want to follow the prophet.

WE BELIEVE THAT THE FIRST PRINCIPLES AND ORDINANCES OF THE GOSPEL ARE …..

NAME –

First, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (PAUSE)

Faith is that strengthening power within

Urging me on my way

Teaching me all that I must know,

Helping me to obey.

Helping me know which way to go,

Pointing the way to God.

I have faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ and know he is always there for me.

Second, Repentance (PAUSE)

How would you feel if you could never be forgiven? Think of the great burden you would have to carry. We should be grateful to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of his atonement, we can be forgiven of our sins, and can go on to reach our full potential. In a couple of weeks I will be baptized. I know that if I make a mistake I can repent and become clean again.

NAME-

Third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins. (PAUSE)

Baptism is the first covenant you make with Heavenly Father. You promise to take the name of Jesus Christ upon you, to always remember him, to keep his commandments, to bear testimony of him, and to love and serve him. I am looking forward to my baptism in November when I will make this important covenant with Heavenly Father.

NAME-

Fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. (PAUSE)

When we turn eight we are given the best gift of all. The Holy Ghost. This gift comes to us from Heavenly Father. The Holy Ghost testifies of Jesus Christ. He comforts us and protects us when we are in need of his help. This summer I was given the gift of the Holy Ghost. I have already prayed for the Holy Ghost to comfort me when I was scared.

VALIANT 8 – When we serve others we serve God

NAME-

Serving others helps us to be more like the Savior, and our Heavenly Father. The influence of the Holy Ghost inspires us to find ways to serve others. Christ-like service teaches us compassion, love and humility. King Solomon said, "None is so great that he needs no help, and none so small that he cannot give it." I am grateful for my sister Gracie. She is always giving to others and is the best example of service.

NAME-

Twice I have had the opportunity to go downtown to the Utah Food bank with my mom and two sisters. We were able to unload the boxes of food we had collected and sort them into different boxes. It was a great experience that I will always remember. I really enjoyed serving the people in our community and I look forward to doing it again.

NAME-

“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are in the service of your God.” (Mosiah 2:17) When I turned eight years old I became a cub scout. Part of the Cub Scout promise is “To help other people.” Last winter after I had helped my dad shovel the snow from our driveway I decided to keep going and shovel some of our neighbor’s driveways. It felt good knowing I was serving my neighbors and my Heavenly Father.

VALIANT 10- jesus Christ is the son of god and he is the god of miracles

NAME-

A miracle is an amazing or unusual occurrence that cannot always be explained logically. It shows the power of God. Miracles are an important part in the work of Jesus Christ. They include healings, restoring the dead to life, and resurrection. This past month we have learned in primary about the miracles performed by the Savior. I am grateful for his example and unconditional love.

NAME-

One day Jesus was walking through a village and was approached by ten lepers. They asked for mercy from Jesus that they would be healed. Jesus told them to go visit the priests. So the lepers went to the priests and were healed. After they were healed, only one of the lepers came back to say thanks to Jesus. In verses 17-19 it says, “And Jesus answering said, were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? They are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” This story teaches us many things, but the thing I learned the most was the importance of gratitude. I know that if we show gratitude for all of our blessings, Heavenly Father and Jesus will continue to bless us.

NAME-

A story in The Friend tells about a boy who was helping his father with their. He was on a horse by himself when the horse got spooked. When the horse took off, it didn’t take long for him to fall off. His shoelace got caught in the stirrup, and he was dragged behind the horse. He kept bucking and kicking and jumping. He was sure he was going to die. Finally, his shoelace broke and he was free from any harm or injury. I know that even though Jesus is not here with us on earth that we still can witness miracles.

NAME-

Jesus performed many miracles, and one of my favorites that he performed was when he was on the ocean in a small ship with his disciples. In a huge storm, while Jesus was sleeping, all of his disciples were trying to get the ship to stay afloat. Finally, they decided to go wake Jesus, and Jesus raised up his arms and said, “Peace, be still.” And the waves calmed. And he asked his disciples, “Have ye no faith?” I like this story because Jesus could calm the ocean in the middle of a big storm. It teaches me that Jesus has power over huge things and that I can have faith in him.

NAME-

13 years ago, my mom and dad went on a snowmobiling trip near Yellowstone with my grandpa. At the end of the last day of the trip, each rider needed to drop down a snowy slope and cross the dry highway to get to the parking lot. There was a curve on the highway that made it so the rider could see just far enough down the road to get across the street if a car wasn’t coming.

My dad crossed safely and when he got to the parking lot he could see a truck coming down the highway at 60mph. It was my mom’s turn and when she dropped down the slope onto the highway the snowmobile lost its grip in the middle of the road. She held the throttle at full speed but the tread on the machine just spun out. My dad thought that he was going to be raising the 3 oldest kids by himself.

Somehow, at the last second, the tread gripped the road and the machine shot out of the way of the truck, missing the back of the snowmobile by less than inches. The girl that was next in line to cross the road said she saw a personage like an angel come push my mom across the street. My sister was born nine months later. I’m grateful for this miracle and other miracles that I have had in my life.

We believe that through the atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer.

He rescues me from me.

I’ll try to explain just how to you.

Each day I have to make a choice.

the path that leads away from Christ,

In John 3:16 it says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This scripture teaches us not only about the Atonement, but also about Heavenly Father’s love for each of us. I am grateful for the scriptures and I know they are true.
