CAI SONGNIAN

蔡頌年 z. Bojian 伯堅

From Zhending (present-day Zhengding, Hebei ). Born in the Jin Dynasty 1107, died 1159. He served in the Jin in a succession of high posts, was also trusted by Prince Hai Ling, and was representative of the active role of han Chinese in the administration of the Jin. He served successively as Companion for the Heir Apparent, or Administrative Assistant for local governor of Zhending Prefecture, Vice Director in the Ministry of Justice, Minister of the Ministry of Revenue and Assistant Director of the Right. He and his father were both well-known for their Calligraphy. He excelled at lyrical poetry.
