A baby’s first years are critical to their success in life

A baby’s first years are critical to their success in life. Their brains are a “work in progress”. Keeping this in mind, our curriculum for the infants enrolled at Almost Home, will give many individualized and group opportunities, for the infants to develop at their own pace.

These “activities” will include but are not limited to the following:

• Reading stories from award winning authors.

• Art activities.

• Singing simple songs and teaching simple hand gestures.

• Baby signs.

• Providing developmentally appropriate toys.

• Reciting nursery rhymes.

• Using infant appropriate musical instruments.

• “Floor Freedom” to explore their environment.

• Dancing with babies.

• Simple body games (pat-a-cake, peek-a-boo)

We will not only use activities to support learning, but we will also allow natural learning within the infants play to take place and support it.
