Attn: Sean Flynn if mailing or faxing over.Cost : $450 per team (Checks Payable to: Robbinsville Wrestling Association). This tournament is being run by our booster club not our HS...do not make checks out to the high school.Mail checks to: P.O. BOX 535WINDSOR, NJ 08561-0535Tax ID (if needed): 22-3449675We will be paying all refs, trainers, staff, etc. out of your payments so it will be ideal to have them in advance of the tournament. I know this is not possible in some cases, I know that our school would not be able to do give payment in advance. Please disclose any payment issues in advance. Seeding: Wrestlers will be pre-seeded based on previous seasons criteria. All Seeding information is on seeding sheets (last page). Denote the two highest criteria for each wrestler in the tournament. The best initial criteria will receive the top seed and so on. If there is a tie on the first criteria, we will then move on to criteria two as a tiebreaker. If there is still a tie we will random draw. All non-seeded wrestlers will be placed on the bracket by random draw and we will seed the top 8 wrestlers. The only exception to the random draw will be to keep two wrestlers from the same team from wrestling in the first round or quarterfinals. You will only be allowed to seed one of your wrestlers a second wrestler will not be seeded even if he has criteria, do not bother putting criteria for a second wrestler in a weight class. Rosters and seeding criteria will be due the Wednesday prior to the tournament (Dec.13th). Google sheets form will be sent for seeding criteria. You will be able to make minor changes, swaps, scratches until Friday Dec. 15th @ 7pm. By 10pm on Friday Dec. 15 we will have finalized seeding and brackets done for the entire tournament. Any issues, changes, etc that happen from Friday @7pm until weigh ins on Saturday at 7am, those wrestlers will be scratched with no changes to the bracket. Their slot becomes a bye. There should be very little that happens over those 12 hours and should not be many scratches or issues. We will have a coaches meeting at 8am to go over general tournament policies and procedure and update on any scratches that may have taken place. Tournament (bracket) format: **We will attempt to fill out a 16 man bracket at every weight. There will be no JV tournament but you can submit extra guys at weights to fill out the bracket. No more than 2 wrestlers can be entered by a team. This format will allow pigtail/prelim round losers to get a second match, but they cannot place in the tournament. Quarterfinal losers will be able to wrestle back to fifth. Semifinal losers will wrestle for 3rd.Awards: Awards will be given to wrestlers who place 1-3. There will be NO TEAM SCORE at the tournament. Score Tables: Electronic score clocks will be used at each mat. Bout scores will be kept on paper bout sheets and winning wrestlers must turn in their bout sheets to the head table IMMEDIATELY after the bout concludes. Mats/Rounds: The tournament will run on 5 mats; 3 in the main gym and 2 in the auxiliary gym. It is currently planned that any and all bouts will be assigned to any and all mats throughout the tournament. This is best for keeping up the speed of the tournament. the 1st, 3rd, and 5th place bouts will be designated to the 3 mats in the main gym. We will most likely run 5 mats for the pre-quarters, quarters, and pre-quarter losers round. Cut to 3 mats for the semi, consi-semi, and championship round.Schedule:Saturday: 6:30 a.m. Scales open for weight checks and rolling skin check by team.7:00 a.m. Weigh-ins by team8:00 a.m. Coaches meeting and breakfast9:00 a.m. Pre-Quarterfinal Round11:00 am QuarterfinalsNoon Pre-Quarter round loser 2nd matches (all wrestlers in this round will get their second match and be done, win or lose) and lunch1:00 Semi-finals and Consolation Semi finals (QF losers)3:00 Championship, 3rd (semi losers) and 5th place (Consi Semi Winners) matches in main gym. COACHES – Please confirm your bus schedule with your Athletic Director to meet this time schedule. If you are late to weigh ins, we will not wait to start weigh ins, but will let you weigh in as soon as you arrive. It is your responsibility to make adjustments to your travel schedule if you believe adverse weather will impact the speed of your trip to the tournament. Do your best so that your team is not put at a disadvantage.Food/Concessions: Our volunteer tournament workers, including our outstanding concessions workers, put in a great deal of effort to make sure we have plenty of good food available at very reasonable prices throughout the tournament. We respectfully request that you inform the parents and fans of your team to refrain from bringing outside food to the tournament. With the exception of food brought in specifically for or by the athletes, coolers of food and beverages will be prohibited from entering the building. Weigh-ins/Skin check: We will do a rolling skin check starting at 6:30...if your team arrives prior to 7am weight check, get ahead of the game and have your wrestlers skin checked, this will speed up weigh ins. Saturday weigh-ins begin at 7:00am **CHECK YOUR BUS SCHEDULE** and all wrestlers must be in the weigh-in area by that time. No wrestlers will be permitted to enter the room after 7:00am. Weight loss must stop at 7am. We will run weigh ins on multiple scales, and you will weigh in by team from 106-HWT. We will need help from coaches for weigh ins. A wrestler will have 3 opportunities to weigh-in successfully; two times on the original scale they stepped on and then once on any other scale. All three attempts must be done in succession with no delays between attempts. A wrestler failing to make weight will not be allowed to participate in the tournament. No wrestler will be allowed to bump up to a higher weight class if they fail to make weight, and no substitutes can be entered for a wrestler who fails to make weight.
