Accessible Campus Community & Equitable Student Support (ACCESS)

? We approve reasonable accommodations which address barriers to student inclusion or accurate assessment of academic aptitude (i.e. time-limited exams, inaccessible web content, or the use of non-captioned videos.)

? Students needing accommodations because of medical diagnoses or major life impairment(s) will need to register with ACCESS and complete an intake process before accommodations will be approved. Students who believe they have a diagnosis but do not have documentation should contact ACCESS for assistance and/or appropriate referral.

Application Process

? To register, visit our website under the "students" tab and click the button labeled "Apply/Register" to fill out the questionnaire.

? Students applying to receive accommodations will also need to submit official documentation in one of the following formats:

? IEP or 504 Plan (*with any additional supporting documentation)

? Psychological or Neuropsychological Evaluation

? Physical/Medical Examination (Test Results, Official Letter from Family Physician, etc.)

? Intelligence or Achievement Testing

? After receiving your submission through Accommodate, please allow 1-2 business days to review application materials and recommend appropriate accommodations.

Respect to Confidentiality

? Information pertaining to a student's diagnosis or disability and the accommodations provided are personal and confidential in nature. As such, ACCESS does not share information with fellow students, faculty or staff outside of the expressed purpose of arranging reasonable accommodations.

? Students may choose to disclose any details related to their accommodation they wish. However, instructors are also expected to maintain confidentiality and avoid drawing unnecessary attention to the student.
