SKETCH OF WAR MEMOIRS – FROM 1940 TO 1952

Several of my colleagues got hit – one of them, Yaloki (a sweet guy, full of wit and life, who liked to sing Mexican songs), was killed. [After Jabur, I recall that one of the meeting points in the region for us - active, but underground, soldiers - was a bar at the top of a Carmel peak overlooking Haifa, near the ‘Stella Maris’ monastery. ................
