[pic]

You may use Air Home to start booking air, car and hotel reservations in a set date range. The following sections give basic air, car, and hotel booking information—booking air (round trip, multiple cities and one way) and the option of adding a car or hotel to the itinerary.

To book air, car or hotel reservations over separate date ranges (separate itineraries) create separate itineraries containing the type of reservation you need over different time periods.

Using the Travel Wizard

The round trip air screen is the starting point for creating an itinerary. From this screen you may select other travelers (to create an itinerary for them), select a trip for purchase, view or edit trip templates, review or change your air preferences, browse schedules or view your corporate travel policy/notes. You can also select “One Way” or “Multiple Cities” which will adjust this screen appropriately.

1. What are your travel plans?

a. Complete the From field with the city from which you are traveling.

b. Complete the To field with your destination city.

c. Or click on [pic] to view a graphical map and select your two cities

2. When are you traveling?

a. Departure Date: Input your date of departure or click on [pic] to select the date from the calendar. Then select your preferred departure time from the drop down list.

b. Return Date: Input your date of return or click on [pic] to select the date from the calendar. Then select your return time from the drop down list.

3. Click on [pic] when all fields have been completed to begin the first step of the Travel Wizard.

Note: If you are only making an air reservation, click the box beside “This trip is air only” in order to limit your search. You will still have the opportunity to add car or hotel reservations later in the process.

4. The system may ask you to verify your cities to the appropriate airports for your desired travel. Make the appropriate choices. Click “User as Default” if you do not want the system to use that airport as default in the future. This will stop the system from asking you this question again when you input the same city.

5. Click [pic] to proceed.

6. Would you like a rental car on arrival? While the system is searching for air options, you will be asked if you need a rental car in your arrival city. Click [pic] or [pic] (as appropriate). Clicking “Yes” will launch a separate search for rental car options.

7. Would you like a hotel on arrival? While the system is searching for air and car options, you will be asked if you need a hotel in your arrival city. Complete the appropriate parameters to narrow your search. Once you have defined the parameters, click [pic] to continue.

a. Previous hotels I’ve stayed at in this location – Selecting this option will search the RESX database for previous hotels that you have booked in RESX. As you begin to make travel plans in RESX, the system will maintain a database of all reservation information.

b. Airport/City – This will narrow the search parameters for hotels that are in close proximity to your arrival airport or a specific city name.

c. Hotel name keyword – This will allow you to include a keyword of the hotel you desire. For example: “Marriott” will bring back any hotel with the word “Marriott” in their name. Caution: some hotels do not always include the exact chain name. There are some chains that use a 2 digit code to identify their chain or unique abbreviations..

d. Street Address -- You can also input any information from a street address of your destination to limit hotels that are in close proximity of that address. You must know the Zip/Postal Code for this feature to function properly.

e. Limit/Exclude to Preferred Chains – This will limit and/or exclude the hotel search to up to three chains selected.

8. Itinerary Choice. At this point you are given a choice between “View Suggested Itinerary” or Create an itinerary by selecting options”. Choice the desired option and click [pic] to proceed.

a. View Suggested Itinerary – Selecting this choice will compile a complete suggested itinerary that meets corporate policy and search parameters. You will also have the opportunity to make any changes to the suggested choices.

b. Create an itinerary by selecting options – Selecting this option will present a list of all the available options compiled from search parameters for air, car and hotel. You can then create your own itinerary from those options.

c. Don’t ask me again – You can place a check in this box to have the system default to your choice above. Once the box has been checked, you will no longer stop on this screen.

9. We’re currently working to fulfill your request. The system will pause just for moment to compile all the results on the next screen.

10. Suggested Itinerary. At the Suggested Itinerary screen you can review your itinerary prior to booking/purchasing and make changes to each individual segment (air, car, hotel) or add segments. If any of the suggested options do not fit your business needs, click on the “More” button next to each segment. For example: [pic] for more Air options; [pic] for more Car options; [pic] for more hotel options. You can then change to other available options. If there are no errors in your itinerary; there are several things you can do from this point:

a. Save Research [pic]. To save this itinerary for later purchase or correction, click the Save Research button. This will NOT confirm the reservation but will save all the information for future completion. When you click “Save Research” you will be prompted to provide a “Trip Research Name.” Please remember, saving a trip as research does not reserve the trip. Travel fares and availability are subject to change until reserved. You can retrieve this research from under “Trip Research”. Click on View to return to this trip.

b. Select Seats. Click on [pic] next to each flight segment in order to make your seat selections. You can also allow the system to automatically select seats based on the seat preferences defined in your RESX profile.

c. [pic]. Clicking this option will confirm the itinerary and release it to Navigant for ticketing. Your Navigant travel group will promptly issue the ticket and you will receive an e-mail itinerary with the ticket number and confirmation numbers. Once the itinerary has been ticketed, you can no longer make changes in RESX to that reservation. Any changes will need to be handled by calling your Navigant travel desk and an additional fee will be charged.

11. After clicking on “Purchase Now” you will be prompted to verify delivery information. You will also an opportunity to include any “Special Instructions.” This area is used to communicate to the Navigant agents any additional information you wish to include. For example: upgrade requests, specific hotel properties or rates, etc. Once this screen is completed, you’ll need to click on [pic] once again to finalize the reservation process.

Warning: If your profile page is missing required information, you will be prompted to enter the information prior to viewing a suggested itinerary.

Frequently Asked Questions

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Click the Lost Password button at the bottom of the Login page. Complete the fields and click submit. The system will e-mail your password to the e-mail address in your Traveler Profile. This will not work if you have not defined an e-mail address in your RESX online profile. In that case, please call 1-866-299-7374 to have your password reset.

Password Security Parameters

Keep passwords secure. Account information is not to be shared. Authorized users are responsible for the security of their passwords and accounts. Passwords should be eight (8) or more characters in length and should be complex in nature. For example: They should contain a mixture of alphabetic, numeric, and special characters.

What do I need to run the system?

If you can connect to the Internet, you can probably connect to the system. We recommend using Microsoft's Internet Explorer (version 3.0 or higher) or Netscape Navigator (3.0 or higher).

To connect to the Internet, talk to the appropriate department in your company, probably your network administrator or Information Services department.

What are the best browsers to use with the system?

We recommend using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (version 4.7 or higher) or Netscape Navigator (6.2 or higher). Older versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator as well as Mosaic, Netcruiser, OmniWeb and NetManage don't fully support the HTML 3.0 specification. You also need JAVA scripts enabled in your browser for some of the features to function properly within RESX.

How do I report problems I'm having getting connected to the Internet?

If you're having problems connecting to the Internet, contact your network administrator or Information Services department. If you can connect to the Internet but not the system, check the URL Internet address. Make sure that you are using the URL provided by your travel administrator.

Who should I talk to about getting a faster response from the system?

Your response time depends on the type of Internet connection you have. The fastest types of network connections to the Internet are T- 1, T-3, or ISDN. Modems come in a variety of speeds, but none of them transmit and receive as fast as the connections mentioned above. Your network administrator knows which type of Internet connection you currently have. Within the system, you may occasionally experience a delay while the system waits for the airlines' computer reservation system to respond to a request for availability or prices, or to process the reservation.

How do I report errors encountered when using the system?

Click the Feedback button at the top of most screens and use the formatted E-mail to describe what happened. Depending on the type of problem you encountered, we may ask for the error, trip ID, or process number. These numbers are in the bottom right comer of the availability and reservation pages. You can also send an email directly to echelp@ or call 1-866-299-7374 Monday-Friday, 7:00a-6:00pm Mountain Time.

Why is the airfare on the ticket different from when I requested availability and made the reservation?

Airfares change constantly and the price is not guaranteed until your airline ticket is issued. If you need further assistance, click Contact Travel Agent and ask your agent to check the airfare.

Why doesn't the system offer all possible flights within my time window?

Are there connections and did you specify "Accept Connections" when you submitted your request to the system? The system provides the ability to mold the choices according to your personal and company's preferences. Your company may require you to take contracted airfares on other airlines. If you need assistance, click Contract Travel Agent and tell them what you requested and the flight you expected to see, but didn't.

Is my credit card number safe?

The only time your credit card number is actually sent over the system is when you add it to your Traveler Profile, and the system transmits it through a "secured socket layer" that encrypts ("scrambles") the information. When you enter your credit card, you also give that card a ‘name’. After your card has been verified the first time, the system will just display on screen the 'name' designated for that card, not the card number. The credit card number will be transmitted directly into the reservation record for Navigant travel agents to issue your ticket.

I travel frequently and know which flights I want - how can I just get my preferred flights?

By limiting your search criteria you are able to direct RESX to return for your review and selection a much smaller grouping of flight options especially in travel lanes that you frequently fly. To do this, follow these steps;

1. Click on Profile in the upper right hand side of the page

2. Click Travel Preferences

3. Select the limiting options you desire.

How do I reuse an old ticket that was nonrefundable?

Let your agent know when you have unused tickets. Either click Contact Travel Agent or include “Special Instructions” when you click reservation for ticketing. In all cases, your agent must have the unused ticket before issuing a new ticket to determine if you can use it again, to process the new ticket, and to see what rules and/or penalties apply to both the unused ticket and the new ticket.

How do I use Frequent Flyer coupons or other discount coupons to pay for this trip?

Let your agent know when you have coupons that you want to use for reservations by clicking E-mail Agent, which you can find on most of the "Reservations" pages. Make sure you are aware of the coupon's restrictions. Many coupons require you to notify the airline that you are using a coupon at the time of flight confirmation, and currently the system cannot issue upgrade coupons. In all cases, your agent needs to see the coupon before processing your tickets to ensure proper use.

How can I get a copy of my itinerary?

1. Click [pic]

2. Click View beside the appropriate trip under “Pending Trips”

3. You can then use your browser's Print menu option or button to print a trip itinerary.

4. A final copy of your itinerary will be emailed to you by Navigant once the reservation has been ticketed.
