Survey of Certified Soybean Seed Sales - CSTA

Survey of Certified Soybean Seed SalesSpring Planting 2018CSTA is conducting this survey of sales of certified soybean seed on behalf of interested members across Canada. We’ve had good participation with this survey and will continue to do one each year as a method of monitoring annual aggregate seed sales. The benefit of participating in this survey is that it will give each participating company an indication of the percentage of the market is supplied with certified seed.CSTA will collect your individual reports and aggregate them with the reports of the other participants. They will be kept confidential with the Executive Director and the Regulatory Affairs & Policy Coordinator, individual company responses will be destroyed once the report is compiled. The aggregate information will only be distributed to those who have participated in the survey. For this survey, please:Report certified seed sales of conventional varieties in 50 lb units and certified seed sales of Herbicide tolerant (RR, RR2Y, RR2Xtend, Liberty Link) varieties in 140,000 seed count units.Report sales of certified seed for spring planting in 2018.Report sales by province. If you cannot break the sales down by province, report only in the TOTAL column.Report only your proprietary varieties (those that you are the owner of the variety, or on which you pay the royalty to the breeder) – do not report sales of varieties for which you are a licensee.Do not report pedigreed stock above certified (only report sales of certified seed).Do not report replant sales. Please complete the survey form and send it to Dave Carey at the CSTA office by email at cfeulner@seedinnovation.ca by Friday, November 16, 2018.
