PRIMER PASO- TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOU AND OTHERS LIKE TO DO

¿Quién?- who? Me gusta (n)- I like

por eso-that’s why, for that reason A mí me gusta + (infinitive )- I (emphatic) like to ….

la piscina- swimming pool ¿A quién le gusta….? – Who likes to …..?

¿A ti qué te gusta hacer? – What do you like to do?

*A Spanish infinitive is a verb in its nonconjugated/basic form and includes the word to when spoken in English. Example: cantar-to sing .

LOS VERBOS

*bailar- to dance *cuidar a tu hermano/a- to take care of your brother/sister

*cantar- to sing *descansar en el parque- to rest in the park

*dibujar- to draw *escuchar música- to listen to music

*estudiar- to study *hablar por teléfono- to talk on the phone

*nadar- to swim *lavar el carro- to wash the car

*pintar- to paint *lavar la ropa- to wash the clothes

*mirar la televisión- to watch TV

*sacar la basura- to take out the trash

*The conjugated verb endings always follows a pattern that match the subject pronoun it

represents. Sometimes there are exceptions to that pattern. We call them irregular verbs.
