Spanish I ~ Verb Poster Project

Due: TUESDAY, Feb. 10th.

Value: 35 assessment points

Objective: Create a visually appealing poster, book or power point that illustrates 10 of the -ar verbs

studied. (jugar may not be used

)

Requirements:

a) The poster or book must be titled Los verbos en -ar

b) Write your name in the lower right hand corner

c) 10 pictures illustrating 10 different -ar verbs that we have studied recently. Pictures may be

from clipart, drawn or cut from magazines. Pictures must be larger than 3 inches in diameter.

You may NOT use your flashcards for the project!! (jugar may not be used)

d) Each picture must be labeled with the verb in the –ar infinitive form.

e) Each picture must be accompanied by a Spanish sentence which uses a conjugation (NOT any

form of gusta) of the Spanish verb illustrated by the picture. The sentence MUST describe the

picture and be at least 3 words in length. The sentences may be affirmative or negative.

f) The project must be neat in appearance. Creativity is appreciated.

g) NO ENGLISH should appear on the poster or book. (unless it’s a person’s REAL name)

Helpful hints:

a) Start looking for your pictures NOW! Don’t wait until Monday night!

b) Bring your sentences to class before the due date to be proof-read by Sra. Thagard.

c) Come to class Tuesday with everything cut and glued into place because

NOTHING will be loaned out at that time to help you finish at the last minute!

d) Check the grading rubric to make sure you have included everything that will be graded.
